Fast enough that I felt like the car was lifting quite a bit (steering was getting light), and backed off.

Now on a quest to find the best solution to deal with the lift.

I typically don't try and speed excessively but yesterday coming back from a group meet I got a little lost and took the LONG way home which was through farm land highway strips that are empty.

This all one reason it's such a joy living in Nevada. We have one road somewhat upstate from where I live, that goes through a valley between mountain ranges. That road is arrow straight for about 75 miles and has absolutely zero traffic. You can see other cars for miles and many minutes before you get near them, coming or going. Two lanes, newly repaved and 70 mph limit. Four lane divided roads get a 75 mph limit here. No potholes, no cracks. The only thing I hate about living in the Vegas area is speed bumps. This place is the speed bump capital of the world!

So anyone know what they'll do with the limiter removed?

First and last warning all of you.

It's bad enough you're doing it on public roads (whether they're empty or not is irrelevant) but posting specific locations will get this thread deleted and offending members reprimanded.

Here's the theoretical top speed, given the limiter has been disabled. I asked the question once before of how fast people have actually gone in their GC, but no one seems to have topped the 156mph mark. I believe most of the people that chimed in regarding how fast they've gone were doing it on a closed track (or so they say).

I provided the correct link to the thread and a title stating that I was copying it from the forum. My apologies if I did not state it clearly enough.

Default Was that the top ?

I've only had my Coupe ( 2011 2.0T premium, black on black ) for a month, a week after we bought it we headed over the " Connector " ( Kelowna to Merritt ).
Great highway and very few cars, it was early morning and having the heavy foot that I've had since my teenage days I put the boot to the Coupe.
I can't ever remember being that impressed with the performance of any car like that.
It was hard to believe this was a four cylinder car, it cruised up grades like it had all the power in the world.
