Default Buying a new car need help.

Basically I am considering the 2013 370z Grand Touring or the 2013 Genesis. I am not going to be able to test drive the Genesis since no one in a 100 mile radius has one so I would appreciate any input. I heard the interior is extremely cheap and there is alot of general issues compared to the Z.

well do you want interior space or not?

the 370z felt cramped to me compared to the GC

I really dont mind how cramped it is inside. From the looks of it all the gen coupe is hard plastic interior which a big turn off. Any idea if the seats are comfortable? I know that is a strange question but I am curious.

My main concern is the quality of the car. I did have a 2010 Gen 3.8 for a 3 months and I had non stop issues with it. I ended up putting $3,000 into it then sold it in the end because of the constant problems.

Also if I were to get the coupe since its quite a bit cheaper then the 370Z probably by around 7k what could I do to increase the 0-60 by .4sec?

I thought the interior on the 2013's were quite nice.. and IDK about the new 370z's but I remember the old one's had crappy-ish interiors.. plus the 370z has like 330 hp right?
You're already a little ahead on the Genny.. plus the Genny has back seats, albeit tight/still quite usefull..

and 7k is a good chunk of change, you should always buy the most engine with your money(IMO), by getting the Touring you're just paying for a bunch of Bluetooth and crap that you might not even use..
You should just get a 2013 3.8 R-Spec

I did not care for the old interior either on the 350 but on the 370 I must say its quite nice and a huge improvement. You are right about the hp but it still is a bit faster by around .4sec (from what I have researched).

At 30K you could just buy a used Cayman..

I really to stay away from the used. The reason why I was looking at the touring rather then the more standard version is for two main features - leather seats and upgraded audio system.

if you buy the Z you'll be hating life in about 6-12 months, they are changing the body style next generation, better to wait

i wasnt a fan of the 370z nismo interior. the genesis interior isnt top of the line either, but i think its better then the Z. biggest thing is the retarded cover they have in the dash of the z

Thank you for the input I really appreciate it... It just really blows how I wont be able to test drive a Genesis one until I actually buy it.

So three questions:
1. Are the seats comfy? GF assists on comfy seats... lol.

(I am new to modding etc so I am clueless)
2. What exactly would I need to buy to increase the 0-60 by around .4 sec?

3. How would the new Genesis stand up to daily use? I have heard that it is susceptible to quite a few problems.

Thank you again for everything...

1. Seats comfortable, drove from Florida to Oklahoma no problems.

3. Daily use is very nice, whether on the track or on the streets, the sound of the engine, the power, ohhh orgasm. Plus you can put a lot of stuff in the truck and the back seat, and you don't feel clasutrophobic like in the shitty 370Z.
There are no perfect cars, the Z has also susceptible probles, has less power than the current GC v6, claustrophobic and its interior u make it sound like it is a Mybach... same plastic man. Bu I prefer high quality plastic in the GC. Get the GC no regrets already in my second, gate the 2009 2.0T to my gal.

your mods list is different depending if you get a 2.0T or 3.8 coupe
1. ecu has been tuned by sfr on the 3.8= exhaust and intakes coming out real soon
2. 2.0T aftermarket bolt ons are coming out and ecu reflashes too.

just depends which model you choose but either way a winner.

check the exhaust threads on here they have wuite a few for the 3.8's sfr just 2 weeks ago cracked the new 2013 gdi motor's ecu and tuned one. so now you have a tune available. and several intakes are out now so you should be all set.
now you just have to wait 6 to 8 weeks till they start shipping the new coupes whenever they start production again.

The Nismo doesn't even have an option for nav or leather and you have to upgrade to the Bose stereo if you want decent sound, $44,000, I think not.
I'll take my 2103 Track interior over anything in the Z class.
PS, I've never owned anything but Nissan's until my 2013 GC Track.

I love the seats in my '11 3.8 Track, one of the reasons I got the Track over the R-spec. I'm not sure if the seats have changed on the '13 or not.

The Z is out of the question for me with no back seat, and I also am not crazy about the look of it. However, the "synchro rev match" sounds like a nice feature that I wish the GC had.
