Congrats, postwhore till 10 and then post the dynosheets. I like comparing stock for stock runs to see how consistent are the hp numbers from factory between engines.

the flaw in that logic is that there can be dramatic differences from run to run on the same dyno for the same car depending on other variables... so when you start comparing runs on completely separate (and potentially completely different) dynos... what you end up with is a bunch of numbers, and that is about it. lol

I know but if you see the numbers being submitted they are quite consistent and even though there is going to be a differences due to humidity, elevation, calibration, and obviously dyno brand (a Mustang Dyno will almost never give the same HP as a DynoJet); you can still see if the same engine type is more or less outputting factory spec HP #'s in different environments as this is an EFI engine which tries its best to compensate for maximum efficiency and power output.

Seriously, it seemed to take FOREVER, but at about 12:00 PM on March 27, 2009 we finally got our hands on our Black 2.0T Genesis Coupe! Here are some initial pictures of it right off the showroom floor.

Of course we didn't just stand around looking at it, we had to start our testing and see what we had. So we did some baseline dyno pulls and the results were pretty good. See below:

Never content to leave anything alone we grabbed a boost controller from the showroom and decided to see what she could do with a little more boost. Although the factory turbo leaves much to be desired, we were able to squeeze a bit more power out of the mid and low range.

Here is a our baseline vs the addition of the boost controller:

That's all we had time to do that day, still have 3 more customer cars to dyno and get on the road. When you live in the Midwest and the snow starts to melt, things can get pretty hectic in a hurry.

Keep on the look out for more information coming very soon. I think we are going to try and fit the coupe with a mock up exhaust system this weekend for fitment and if there is enough time, get some numbers too.

Thank god the wait is over, now lets get to work on making some power!

After testing the car and adding the boost controller we thought we would go out and have a little fun with our new shop toy....
