Nice gains would you use this towards a kit or is this just to see what the engine can do?

A combination of both. The turbo kit is in development with further details to come!

It depends on how much drive train power loss there is. It can vary depending on the type of transmission and drive system in use. I'll let Luke comment on his speculation regarding crankshaft rated HP.

Video Time!

Here is our latest video of the car on the dyno for the 344WHP run. Pretty much the mods are the same as before, but this time with approx. 20lbs of boost and our prototype cat-back exhaust system.

Let us know what you think!

Stock I believe it puts down around 190whp from the claimed 210hp. That puts drive train loss at 10%. If you apply an extra 10% of power to 344whp that means it should have about 378.4hp at the crank.

awesome stuff. how hard would you say swapping this turbo was compared to others? pretty easy due to easy access? any tricky things?

whenever I buy my 2.0T, i'll definitely consider this mod. i personally think anything over 400hp is an overkill anyway.. that would be too much horses for me. but i'm sure ya'll won't stop. so keep it up!

coming from someone that has around 300hp in a car thats about the same weight, yeah, 400 would be huge for the street. truth is most people should take additional driving lessons before they are even allowed to have that kind of power, but that will never happen. theres a reason that things get serious at tracks around the 12 second mark (as far as safety regulations and such go).

Intake, exhaust and cams.

As for the 2.0, all prices are based on similar items found online and are MY guesses and estimates only, Beyond Redline had NO input on prices.

Prototype GT3076 Turbo Kit $1500?
Prototype Intercooler Kit $500-700?
Prototype Primary Cat Delete Pipe (PCDP) $200?
Prototype Down Pipe $300-500?
Prototype Secondary Cat Delete Pipe (SCDP) $200?
Beyond Redline 600cc Injector Upgrade Kit $300?
AEM Fuel Ignition Controller (FIC) $300

$3300 even going by the lower prices I could find, plus install and tuning time.

It's cool that the 2.0 is making power, but it's not making it as easily and cheaply as everyone seems to think. Right now, comparing the two is apples to oranges because we do not have full documentation or details on what has been done with the Korean cars and no one in North America is tuning the 3.8 yet, which is very unfortunate.

dogstar is missing a couple things like boost controller etc... So my guess is about 3500-3700? Wild guess if his information is correct

LOLZ. try again.

the turbo alone will set you back 1200 bucks. Then there is the manifold, downpipe, oil and water lines, and any small changes in charge piping to accomodate the larger turbo.

and then there is an issue of fueling. Injectors + supplementary fuel pump+ a decent standalone engine management (no one has broken the ecu yet)+ dyno time with experienced tuner= not cheap

To replicate this build, you're looking at roughly 5k for hardware, and 2-2.5k for fueling.

it may get cheaper in the long run, but it's not gonna be replacing the fox body 5.0 for cheap speed any time this century.

i got this from other forum. i actually used your estimate and this was his reply...

I don't think Gen's drivetrain is that efficient. They were just conservative on their hp claim. ~400hp at crank now thats HOT!
