Can't wait to get started on it, but we need to finalize a few more details before we can get production rolling.
Been gone for a few days, but looking forward to it. Keep it up!

So, your catback exhaust.. would it bolt up to a 3.8?

We aren't sure about the complete catback yet, but we are fairly confident that our "Axle back" piece will bolt to the v-6 model.

For reference the "Axle back" is the last part of the exhaust that includes the muffler and rear tip assembly.

After driving my Coupe for a week now, I have come to the conclusion that in stock form this car is pretty slow. My initial plan was to buy bolt on parts an maximize the hp the stock turbo is capable of. But now I am really looking at the $ per hp gain using the stock turbo vs. upgrading to a larger turbo like Beyond Redline is doing. With the stock turbo it appears that you are limited to about 230 rwhp, which in my opinion isn't really impressive. But if I buy an upgraded turbo system from Beyond Redline as soon as it comes out I will easily make over 300 rwhp, with potential for 400 rwhp or more once other supporting mods become available.

I can't believe how quickly these guys are producing parts for our cars. At this rate, my Coupe will be sporting a Beyond Redline upgraded turbo kit and exhaust by June.
Keep up the good work guys.

Actually I don't. For the amount of money I saved by getting the 2.0T I will be able to make significantly more power than the v6 model would have. Granted by doing modifications to the v6 model I could potentialy make more power than the 4 cyl. could.
I am glad I went with the 2.0 because thats where it seems most of the R&D is being done by all of the US tuner shops. Shops like Beyond Redline are making some pretty impressive power from these small engines, and as soon as they start producing kits for the 2.0 I will have a car that not only looks good, but makes enough power to beat up on v8 mustangs here in Houston.

Houston ehh.... I'd try and stay away from any car when Supras come to town every March.... every fast car will come out of the wood work, But you'll also meet some good people in TX2K who drive these cars, you'll have a blast

At these power levels this may seem like nit-picking, but this explanation is backwards. Drivetrain loss should be calculated as a loss from the engine power level, not a gain from the whp level. Using your example, a 344whp car with a 10% drivetrain loss would have (344/0.9)=382hp. It may not sound like a significant difference at these power levels, but as power levels rise, the disparity becomes greater.

While you are correct, unless you have a crank dyno and measure the power that way, there is no way to know what the crank HP is to start at. It's just an estimation of the crank power based off of the WHP since we have no way of knowing what the power at the crank is.
