i thought boost cut was ~18psi (probably really 1.25 bar), and since it is a MAP, it is likely irrelevant what turbo you have on there.

the 1jz in my supra had a hard 1 bar boost cut, didnt matter what turbo was on there, ecu always cut it at 1 bar, of course i was only running .8 bar before i sold the car

either way, give it a shot, i'm excited to see. hopefully i'm wrong...

It's a bit late, having to do some production server upgrades at 2:00 am, reading 306 whp thinking on stock turbo almost gave me a heart attack!

50 whp to go, and tell me where I can sign up for the setup!

that setup will likely easily break that mark, provided the fuel pump and internals can handle it. once the catback is on and the boost is upped to 18-20 psi, it should easily be a ~350whp car on pump gas

more importantly, does the car even have 100 miles on it yet?

and by chance, can you post a dyno overlayed on the stock graph? maybe a bit larger also?

when it comes to pictures, i think the bigger the better . . . until its too big

NOW THATS THE TORQUE CURVE THIS MOTOR DESERVES!

dumb question, I might have overlooked, is this a pretty advanced turbo? Ball bearings... exotic materials for the blades and such?

GT3076 is a garret dual ball bearing turbo. GTs have one of the best(if not the best) blade design, providing quicker spool than other turbos making the same power(ball bearings help with that also).

also, using exotic materials in turbos, like ceramics, is not always the best thing. It can lead to a very lightweight turbine wheel with a very fast spool, but may be prone to failure more so than a steel turbine wheel

My old FPBT28 turbo was thrust bearing but it was very responsive and I LOVED it, I can't imagine how this thing would drive!

I am pretty excited as well Although I called it a night kinda early so I could get some time to review the data logs and the tune, to make sure I didn't do something stupid because of exhaustion. I will probably do some more pulls tomorrow after I have had a chance to sleep and review everything. Its not like I have tuned 100 of these engines like i have with the 4G63, so I would rather take it a little slow to make sure I won't wreck anything. Especially without knowing the exact limits of the motor.

thats crazy, do you guys even know what it feels like stock?

i foresee clutch problems, making that much power with a stock clutch that hasnt broken in yet...

are you going to keep that turbo or put the stocker back on?

i really thought the GT3076 would spool way later than that also

We will probably put the stocker back on eventually just to max it out and see what it will make with our bolt ons. I was a little worried about not breaking it in as well, but so far so good. I did log wheel speed vs engine rpm to detect any early slip before i could actually start to feel it, but I have to review it in the morning. Another thing I have going on the dyno, is I am only accelerating approximately 3000lbs of weight (roller/eddy brake) with no wind resistance, so there is less load than an actual 5th gear pull on the highway.

The guys in Korea are reporting they are NOT getting any clutch slip problems with 350ps with 1.3 bar boost. One of them is suspecting that it might hold up until 400ps.

X2, I can't wait to see what these guys can squeek out of this setup. More boost + Beyond Redline Catback + a little more fine tuning should equate to some really impressive numbers.
From what I have been reading this might actually be the highest hp Genesis in the US. Obviously over seas they had a bit of a jump start but I think you guys are catching them. Keep up the hard work guys. I can't believe how quickly you guys are building this car. Definitely a step ahead of everyone else.

Impressive and if this kit cost under 3K I'm definatly interested and may sway back to buying a 2.0T

18psi is the point when the BOV opens and does a soft boost cut.

The clutch slips around 380whp. Which is why everyone in Korea is at 350-360whp.
