We didn't touch the engine itself, or intake manifold, and so far we are still using the stock catback.
how does the ECU compensate or respond by the addition of the new injectors? or did you have to tune it?

We are using an AEM FIC (fuel ignition controller) to compensate for the larger injectors.

yes we had to tune it. We went from 335cc injectors (stock) to 600cc injectors. Other than that we haven't touched the fuel system. So far no CEL's for oxygen sensors or upping the boost. The only CEL was for the RCV valve, which has obviously been deleted and replaced with a real Blow off Valve.

Did you only adjust the Global and Deadtime, or lean it out?

We were using the AEM FIC, not dsmlink.

Sorry, those terms are burned into my brain from using it for 5 years, I guess I just assumed everything uses those settings.

This is good news as a whole, but for people like me who have no intention of dropping a few grand for the necessary parts to change out an entire turbo, it's becoming a bit of a letdown. I'm more interested with what it could do with an intake/turboback/tune, like GTI's or WRX's.

Have you seen AMS's thread? They're going that way first. I think they're at 220ish whp.

We definitely will explore that avenue as well. In fact we probably would have pursued the same path as AMS has, but with the unfortunate self destruction of the turbo hardware when we pulled it apart, we were forced to find something else or wait out new hardware from the dealer to show up. We chose to do this in the mean time.

There definitely is some exploration to be done with the stock stuff, or with minor bolt ons, but I don't think the turbo or injectors will support what most people will be satisfied with after purchasing a vehicle like this with expectations to mod.

Ok guys, I know you have been patiently awaiting the media from this weekend's dyno testing of our prototype parts. Please see below for some pictures of the car on the dyno, the engine bay as it now, as well as a nice front end shot that showcases our prototype intercooler kit. I also have included a properly scaled dyno graph our our 306WHP run. And last but certainly not least.....a video of the car on the dyno!

Just to refresh everyone's memory, here are the mods that got us to this point:
  • Prototype GT3076 Turbo Kit
  • Prototype Intercooler Kit
  • Prototype Primary Cat Delete Pipe (PCDP)
  • Prototype Down Pipe
  • Prototype Secondary Cat Delete Pipe (SCDP)
  • Beyond Redline 600cc Injector Upgrade Kit
  • AEM Fuel Ignition Controller (FIC)

Don't forget that this testing was done through the factory catback exhaust system (with the neck down ) because ours it out being prepared for production. Although at this level everything seems to work well, we did turn up the boost and bit more and seemed to encounter some exhaust back pressure issues.

Great work guys, keep it up and I'm sure you'll be getting my business. Are you using an adapter plate on the stock manifold?

Hmm, I was pretty close... I make that to be $2500-3500 (retail) worth of parts or there abouts?
Plus install of course.

It's good news yeah, but a lot of moolah on top of the cost of the car.
