Very nice numbers, the peak HP comes out at the end it's incredible how rev happy this engine seems. Nice sound too.

you need to settle down lol

300 whp is not that great (for now) and how can u even tell something sounds "rev happy" on a dyno? How do you even define that on a car like this. When I think "rev happy" I don't think of a 2.0L Turbo Hyundai :P

He's referring to the peak hp which is found at the redline. This typically denotes an engine that is rev happy. Factor in the square bore/stroke and I think this car will rev much past the factory redline no problem.

When I think of someone raining on someone else's parade, I think of you.

I'll have to admit I'm not really knowledgeable about any of this sort of stuff, all these number seem to look great (even though a lot of the time I'm not entirely sure I understand what they mean -once I get a little spare time I intend to read up on this sort of stuff), how does the 300+ horsepower exactly convert into a performance boost, I mean how severe of an boost is this? Thanks

306 wheel horsepower (accounting for power loss at drivetrain) compared to 180? whp stock is a nice upgrade in power

well, its about 120whp over their stock dyno numbers. it will make a very big difference. this setup not makes quite a bit more power than the v6, and has better torque curve.

EDIT: beat me to it

true the v6 makes 265? whp so this thing would smoke it. based on the power alone it looks to be a low 13 sec car. close to 370z

Umm....are you kidding? No way a 370Z has that much power. Although it has a weight advantage I don't know that it could mess with this GenCoupe. I think they only have about 270whp.

Yes they are... I'm sure all they did was the same thing we did with 3000GT's back in the day was build a simple adaptor plate utilizing the stock exaust manifold. All you do is cut out a matching flange to the stock manifold and then another for what ever turbo you plan on using waa laa. Its the cheap and easy way to upgrade to a larger/different turbo and it seems like they did this and it turned out great. Good luck guys and thanks for the updates...

You worked on 3000GT's? Sounds like you got to retire early. Must have been all that overtime from the 3000GT's breakin down all the time

PS: I still would like to own one of those one day. AMAZING looking cars!

Well the engine is square 86 x 86 so inherently it'll rev the 8krpm pretty quickly. I believe honda's B series are 86 x 86 no? Or was it the K series as well. I know the 4b11's are86 x 86

That's awesome! I run this same turbo on my DSM and at 16 psi it's just starting to make some power, I can't wait to see what it'll do at 20+ psi. I'm currently making 305 awhp at 19 psi on a similar dyno. I absolutely can't wait to see the future of this setup!

for the record a 370Z is making anywhere between 250rwhp and 220lb-ft of rwtq to 290rwhp and 250rwtq. depending on the dyno model used

with intake/header/Hi-flow cat/cat-back and tune, they are easily making 330rwhp and 280rwtq if not more.

and the cars weight is 3,200lbs.

^I don't think there are any tuning solutions for the 370z yet. The most I've seen depending on the dyno for those mods is in the 310-320rwhp range depending on the dyno.

WOW, the sound of this setup. It seems like the first turbo kit i've seen on this is exactly what I'm looking for. I hope you guys produce this as a kit for sale! Now i've just got to get my funds in order to make the big purchase (car) and then get the car how I want it.

Yes there are tuning systems. They already have stand alones that work for it. And that 310-320whp is on a Load bearing dyno as well not a dynojet. 306 out of the 2.0T is a great figure but im still looking for more Im sure there is still more to be had safely.
