Damn, this 2.0t is becoming quite the tuner. I wonder how much $ all of this is just to get to 360whp. Anyone have an idea of what the stock block can hold before having to worry about building up the engine? I thought I read something that the stock clutch can take around 350whp before starting to slip

Just got off the dyno, after the catback install. On wastegate spring it made 327 hp, and we turned it up to find out the limits of the stock fuel system, the limit comes at 344whp.

Wait til you see the torque curve though. It is impressive. The car is a lot more fun to drive on the street now 284 was torque with the boost up.

I think Tim is going to post the graphs and such after the NCAA tournament is complete.

And you can still add mods to the head of the I-4. Cams are an easy swap on the i-4 (not based off of any work on the theta just personal experience.)

I shouldn't say that we are at the limit of the fuel pump until I actually see what is going on for sure, but when I turned up the boost it started running lean at 5500RPM and up. I added fuel and the same thing. I will have to actually log the FP, and really see.

But I would anticipate from the few pics i did see of the fuel pump you are probably right. Should be digging in for myself soon.

Wow! What an incredible first 10 days it has been with this car. Its been nothing but around the clock work and no sleep for everyone at the shop. Special thanks to our fantastic technicians who have worked tons of overtime to make this happen to quickly. And by all means....this in only the begining of what to expect from the crew here at Beyond Redline.

If I remember correctly, that V6 GenCoupe with the cams, exhaust, and intake made 326hp. No headers and no tune mentioned.

But, I'd also like to add that I think headers will cost more than that. Additionally, it might cost 300 for someone to perform the tunning but you will need something to tune the car with like an AEM EMS, Cobb Access Port or something.

For the moment, I'm viewing the engine choice decision like this...

The 2.0T will probably be able to hit the most amount of power the cheapest. With an upgraded fuel system and a larger turbo it is a very potent machine. But, new car owners have the warranty to worry about. If you go into the Hyundai dealer with a GT3076 bolted to the side of you're engine they will laugh at you while telling you that you've voided your warranty. But, with the V6 you could have cams and they would never even be able to tell! It would be VERY sleeperish.

Tim, what RPM does the first peak in torque occur at on that graph? The bottom is in MPH so I can't tell.

*Although I could assume that 100mph is 5252RPM

Boost at 20psi? wow

If nearing 400hp can be had with minimal fuel system mods, I might just buy a 2.0t.

When can we expect 1/4 mile times?

We need some video guys comeon, you're teasing us sooo bad

Boost level is the bottom Graph.. It says 17psi on the blue run, but really most of it was at 16psi with a spike at the end. This was run off the w/g spring just as the original one was.

Not sure at 1/4 mile times yet, but I would anticipate 12 something...I think the DBW will be the biggest issue.
