If you can get that side upon a jack stand you might have grabbed something off the road. Sounds like something scraping to me, hit/run over anything?

Nope. I went to my friend's house with no noise, chilled in his house fora couple hours and then went out to my car to drive home and then suddenly, screeeeech.

ˆI agree that it sounds like something is scraping. Do you have an exhaust? it sounds like a pipe to me, can you see anything hanging down?

My other thought is that if you hit a pot hole or anything else, something could have bent and is rubbing along the rotors or axel. let us know how it turns out.

No exhaust and actually I did hit a huge pothole a couple days ago cause it was really late at night and I wasn't paying attention but it was the driver's side wheel, not the passenger side. For all I know, it might not even be coming from the wheel... but it sure sounds like it.

Couldn't this just be the wear indicator for the brake pads? Why would you think its not? Have you checked pad material yet?

Like I stated before, it makes the grinding noise when I do NOT use the brakes but while I am accelerating. My car was also purchased recently with no hard braking of any sort for it to be worn down already.

How many miles on the car since purchase? Was it purchased new? It's actually common for the brake wear indicators to make a noise when the brakes aren't being applied.

have you checked the rear side of the caliper? sounds like its metal pad rubbing against rotors. even if you dont have brakes applied, pads still rub slightly.

Yeah, I checked everywhere but cant seem to find anything. Is it like a rock or piece of metal stuck? I just dont understand what could've happened in those couple hours that its making that noise Lol. Did someone stick something in my brakes....

Yep. Can't see anything and it's way too cold out. Heading to hyundai in the morning but I hoped someone would have some general ideas from the forum.

I had similar sound in my old car after running over some gravel. Found a stone stuck and grinding on the back side of the brake rotor.
Best thing is jack the car up, take the tire off and check for anything that doesn't look correct.
