I've only seen a few here in Baltimore. Maybe 3 or 4 since last spring.

i kinda have that same worry, cause I'm going overseas in the fall. So I figure that when I come, there will be more out on the road. So I gotta get my bodykit and everything else, so once I touchdown and pick it up from the dealer, I can start installing parts.

I have yet to see a single one on the road here in WI. The dealer told me they have sold a few, but I haven't seen one. Of course it is still winter and the roads are a mess. maybe i'll see one when it starts to warm up... in my driveway.

There were 3 2.0T bases in my work parking lot. The owners are in Cali right now for work-up training or in Vancouver for Olympics security.

I've been all over Alabama, Souther Mississippi, lower LA, and N. Florida, and seen 1. This is all within 8 days though :-).

No offense, but I've never understood this attitude. It's a CAR. It's not a shirt or shoes or something else where there could be a high chance that noone else has it.

If a car is affordable, dependable and stylish, you're going to see a lot of that car on the road. I've never understood how people would expect to be the only guy for miles around with a certain car.

I actually LIKE seeing other GCs on the road.

More Genesis coupes....the Better...more people buying them, more incentive for Hyundai to built the next super car.

I agree. You should be happy to see another car, and realize that you probably made a good choice. I used to own a MINI Cooper, and if you passed one on the road, they would wave. It was like a cult thing...no matter what state you happened to be in. Why can't GC owners have the same mindset?

If you want to be unique, customize your car, spend big money on a more rare car, or buy a car only made overseas and ship it over.

Default Eh... I think the ideal is somewhere in-between....

I *am* happy to see other people driving the same car as me. I generally wave to them too. At the same time though, especially when you're buying a sports car, you know they're not generally the type of vehicles that you should see TOO many of out on the road. They fill a "niche" market by their definition. The "typical" customer is not interested in a vehicle beyond finding the cheapest way to get one that transports them (and any cargo they might have to haul around) from point A to B.

When I start seeing the same make/model of a sports car on the road all the time, that turns me off to owning it myself. Part of the fun of owning a sports car is that it draws some attention to you, honestly. You want to drive something that makes other people stop and take a second look at it.

I agree though.... customization is a good way to solve the problem, if you think you're seeing too many similar cars on the road and your car fails to stand out anymore.

I still don't see many GenCoupes around in St. Louis, MO yet -- although I saw a green one just yesterday, in Kirkwood, that looked like it was re-badged with the "Genesis" wing badges.

Maybe I'm just unlucky but I just drove from Phoenix to San Diego and back and did not see a single other one the entire time. Still only seen a red 2.0 base around here.

There's also a base 2.0t silverstone that I've seen once, it was some middle aged guy driving it.

Other than that, I rarely see GC's here in alaska. I think I've seen them a grand total of about 5-6 times in the 7 months I've owned the car.
that puke green u are talkin about is the best color out there

I have had mine since 11/21/09 and have seen 4 others so far. I have had many people comment on it and not one of them have said that they hated the LRG. People just rave about it and as I'm driving around I constantly see people checking it out. Brought home a yellow one the first night but my wife just did not like it. As soon as she saw the green the next day we made the switch. I'm glad we did and I am happy the dealer was flexible.

The majority of them on the road I've seen are stocked. If you're worried about homogenization, there are so many cost effective kits that can really set this car off.

I've seen may be 10 so far on the road here in Toronto. Not a hicks town by any means and it's still a pretty rare sighting. Debadgeing this car front and back does wonders. Add a new grill, lowering kit and some rims, it looks like a different car to the unassuming public and you gain respect from your fellow gen owners.
