I'm scheduled to go in for the 2.0T. You guys seem to have some bad experiences. Do you think the odds are slim of it "fitting"?

Been trying to work with them sense day 1. I'm sure it will fit this time.

You have greddy fmic... I think that takes you away since that messes with power.

But yeah... everything is made in japan so they have to bring whatever they have here and do the R&D ... That's why it's called R&D test fitting. To see if it works or not.

... its because Tanabe USA doesn't do any parts development, the Japs fly over here (they were there when my car was in the shop) and do fit sessions I assume. No offense to Mike or any of the other guys at Tanabe but they were the most disorganized/poorly prepared vendor I've worked with, at least this time they're telling you what your car will be fitted with, LOL...
No offense taken. Last session, there was a lot of juggling-around schedule-wise. It was just terrible, and our mistake. Lesson learned, and apologies to those who were burdened with an unpleasant experience. God knows one participant (first name starting with J) was able to get through all the magazines in the waiting room at least once or twice while waiting for his car.

The dates shown on our R&D schedule for March-April are pretty-much set in stone from now on, and things are panning out much smoother this time around.

P.S. El Stig, there's nothing "fishy" going on. Tests aren't always successful. Sometimes they pass on the first try, and sometimes it takes 2 failures before something acceptable comes from it. If you need anything cleared up, just call and ask me. If anyone for that matter has any questions, contact me directly at Tanabe USA. I'm free all day to answer any questions you may have about the R&D Session. And please stop spelling our company name wrong. It's "Tanabe," not "Tenabe."

(310)783-0200 ext. 103 or ask for Mike.

Good Night Everybody,
- Mike.

Please note, on day 1 of our search for cars, we did call back one Red Gencoupe owner, first name beginning with R, but he didn't answer his phone and didn't call back. Go figure... Not sure if he's part of this Genesis forum tho...

OOOOOHHHH! lol ok thats better. The only thing I found fishy was that you guys kept getting other people to come in for the Sessions instead of the same ones. It just didn't looked right. At least you cleared that up. Sucks. Only a few us on here in SoCal are reliable and 1st on the call for our vendors.

TANABE!

As long as those magazines have fast cars and hot girls in them, I'm good for about two hours...

Mike, my apologies if I ripped a little hard on you guys. I honestly don't mind waiting for vendors with my car, I mean, when you get free parts, you shouldn't be complaining!

I'll withhold my comments regarding the driver of the red car and his failure to respond...

... all I gotta say is when someone calls you up and says "Hey can I put some free stuff on your car today?" you're answer should be "Where, when, how long, I'll be there in ten minutes."

In fact I was kinda hoping that chassis brace ended up getting modified to fit my car so I could buy one...

I left around 9 last night and slept in the car til it was time to drop it off. Now I'm sitting in a hotel just waiting for the call. What time did they say they were going to be done tomorrow?

You guys should check out the dyno. If I'm reading it right it made more power with the stock downpipe and Tanabe cat-back system. Am I misinterpreting this?

Torque wise it made a little more... but HP combined with Torque looks like the full turbo back made the most. Also you have to remember the car needs to relearn or something... or maybe you'll get even more with a good tune.
