Out with the coupe, in with the sedan

This past weekend I traded in the Tsukuba Red Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T RSPEC that I owned for 4 years for a Hyundai Genesis Sedan with the 4.6 V8. They are vastly different cars with the coupe being a turbocharged four cylinder with a 6 speed manual, significantly sportier character, rougher ride and little refinement. It was a gorgeous car that got attention on a consistent basis and led to many interesting conversations with strangers in parking lots and gas stations. I felt that it was time for a change though as I wanted something a bit more comfort oriented and I've always liked the Genesis Sedans since their release so I found a Satin Pearl White with the 380hp V8. It has pretty much every feature imaginable including heated/cooled seats, Lexicon sound system, navigation, parking sensors, adaptive cruise (very cool for my commute as I set a max speed and it speeds up and slows down automatically depending on traffic or if someone cuts me off), backup camera, proximity sensors, auto leveling lighting, etc. The V8 is buttery smooth and quiet but absolutely hauls ass when you need it to. The Lexicon 7.1 surround sound system is easily one of the best I've ever heard in a car so there will be no need to upgrade the sound system as I've done with all of my previous cars. Looking forward to some smooth cruising!

I had 47k miles on the 2011 2.0T RSPEC and I got $12,600 for trade. I picked up the 2010 4.6 sedan with 60k on it for $16k. Given the area where I got the sedan (not a densely populated area) it's likely most of that 60k is highway mileage. I took it to a Hyundai dealer yesterday to get looked over and it already had all of the recalls and TSB's done.

Haha, I tend to alternate.

I've had a manual 1995 300ZX 2 seater, then an auto 2003 G35 Sedan, my manual 2011 Genesis Coupe and now an auto 2010 Genesis Sedan. I'm 28, married, no kids yet though. I also tend to change cars every 4 years or so which is how long I've had the coupe. There's a good chance the next car will be a coupe again although new manual trans cars are getting awfully rare.
