guys not trying to start a war just asking Is there any differences other then the motor in a 2.0T or a 3.8 Track edition any stiffer suspension or stronger parts? sometimes car makers beef up the bigger motor's car but I'm not sure if its the case here I would like to buy a 3.8 right now for the modding it later but the 2.0T is more in my price range and well theres more smaller aftermarket advantages right now from what i can tell what do you guys think?
also I <3 the sound of the 3.8 so i was thinking maybe a swap from the 2.0T to the 3.8 later is why I asked by the way!
track for track, they are the same, save for the 2.0 gets the red insert seats, and the 3.8 doesn't. All this info is on the hyundai usa website for model compare.
If you want to mod, get the 2.0t
if you want to stock, get the 3.8
swapping probably won't be as easy or direct as you may think it will be (entirely different electronics, etc)
and for the love of god, search! it's been covered 213242343424 times.
More like if you want to mod & spend more $ to get the 2.0T where the 3.8 starts stock, get the 2.0T. if you want the better starting point & aren't going balls out modding, get the 3.8
I'll be in the 12s for under $1k when I'm done w/my 3.8
What brainsol said. 2.0 for modding since there is way more aftermarket support right now. Also it's a lot easier/cheaper to break past the 3.8's power. Plus turbo cars are always more fun.
I tried the search function I must not use it right because almost every time i come up dry or with 2 things nothing like what i wanted lol,
well I do a bit more than bolt on's but I <3 the 100k 10year warranty big part in the decision to buy new instead of wait a few years for a new one. that and I'm due for a new daily... also I've always driven a supercharged 3.8 V6.. the GM L67 in both cars I've owned I wouldn't say I'm afraid of modding just like the security of the warranty keeps me from it... but would an exhaust and intake void it?
supposed to be going to the dealership near me sometime today I just need to go to the barbershop first and maybe get some Zzzzz's (worked 9pm-5am last night)
i couldnt imagine used parts such as intakes and exhausts being abused so much vs brand new. the worse you can get would be dings and dents and such, but im sure thats something one person would inquire prior to purchasing i PRESUME.
