FreeRoller, if you look at formsim's links, you'll see that a V8 in the GenCoupe isn't as technically feasible as you may think. Also, if I remember correctly, when the GenCoupe was first announced and people asked Hyundai about giving the car a V8, Hyundai said that the engine bay wasn't even big enough. Lastly, there are business-related reasons for why a V8 makes no sense. It wouldn't do wonders for their Corporate Average Fuel Economy (google "CAFE regulations" for more), and the money required to have R&D deal with a V8 instead of just improving the current engines is probably rather high (relatively speaking). But more importantly, please tell us you're joking when you asked for a pic.

Oh great, the 5.0 Genesis thread du jour.
Does anyone actually read this site anymore, or do they just feel compelled to post here for reasons unknown? This is quickly turning into the new 2.0 vs. 3.8. |
