Some of these rates are bananas. I pay $846/6 months in Texas, but I've also got 3 cars on the policy (one of which is an '03 Cobra). I think my Genny breaks out to about $335/6 months. Both the Genny and the Cobra have full-coverage with $500 deductibles. The other car is a trash car so only liability on that one. I'm 24, and have a clean driving record.

As to those of you with points...ouch. That's painful. I've gotten a very high number of tickets (we won't mention just how many), but not a single one is on my record. Always get a lawyer!!

We pay $854.70/6mo for a 2011 R-spec, 2010 Track, and Renters insurance through GEICO. Both 21 years old, wife's got a speeding ticket. $100/500 deductibles, $250,000/500,000 bodily injury/liability.

I don't know why they're so cheap.. Every other quote I've ever got has been about 60-80 dollars per month more.. I guess it's nice living in the boondocks in Kansas, lol.

The thing is in the US, certain area just have higher insurance rates.

If you live in the mid west, even if you have points and at fault accidents, your rates are probably still cheaper than someone with no point living in an metro area.

Aurora, Ontario: got quoted for $1730 by Allstate Insurance 1000/500/300 @ 25 yo. I guess that's the cheapest I've got considering it's $144/mo.

I'm pretty sure it would.
I pay 233 a month with geico and I'm 19 and a male that's single.

Insurance for me was almost the same whether the car I was insuring was a new Genesis Coupe or new Mazda 3 (the normal variety). In my expereince (clean record, 26) it was how new the car was that made insurance higher versus what kind of car it was...

Florida

Where you live makes a difference on what you pay; after of course, your age and car.
I live in South Florida.. insured w/ USAA- no accidents or tickets and for some reason i'm paying $862 every 6 months!

That's w/ $500 dedt on Comp and $1000 on Collision! I'm an insurance underwriter and only driver..

Ugh!

I am with AllState in Apex, NC. I haven’t had a speeding ticket for about 5 years, so not on my record, I’ve never been in an accident, praise God for that one. I have full coverage with a $500 deductable. I am currently 25 but when I was 24 it was the same rate (no discount for hitting 25). My ’11 R-Spec 2.0T only USED to cost me $47/month. I just got married in June and added my wife and her 2000 Ford Ranger (only 65K haha) to our plan (got a 20% discount on each vehicle). The total for both of us together is only $60.71/ month haha God is good!
