I'm sorry I can't help with the wheels

But if the brake switch failed with the stock tires, the oddly sized A/M tires may have triggered the switch to malfunction again..

Were your Enkeis the same size as your current ones?

ok may have a solution i spoke to vossen direct and a near performance shop looks like the dealer i got the wheels sent me the wrong size tires which is causing the tcs to go off and after that happens to many times it will trigger the CEL so they are being kind enough to switch out the tires for me and we will see if it all goes well. i will keep everyone posted so incase you guys run into any of this *knock on wood that u dont* and this was the first thing i mentioned when it happened and the dealer said no that it couldnt be that and know looks like it maybe.

brake switch doesn't have to do with wheels. Its the switch that is connected to the brake pedal.

Only issue you would have with the wheels, if it WAS the wheels, would be TCS going off and/or the TPMS lights going off.

Go to a different dealer, still under warranty. Complaint to hyundai consumer affairs about previous dealer.

He should have checked his diameter size of the tire he put on. It is not the dealer fault if you change the stock wheels out and not put the right diameter back on. This makes since now. throws the speedometer off to . That is why he was showing a fault for the brakes. The revolution did not match the speedometer. He would have to have it recalibrated for the new tire size.

Its not diameter its over all tire tread diameter "ratio" from fronts to rears.

I am running 17" wheels with smaller than stock overall diameter and have no issue. These are my winter wheels and got 17" because it was the largest size rims that would fit the largest studded tires that they have.

17" are the smallest size wheels that you can run on this car, and even then, only a few actually clear the calipers.

If you run square on the wheels instead of staggered you get an issue with the TCS going off at about 55+ mph.

No one (AFAIK) hasn't had and issue with the brake switch caused by any issues with the wheels and I've been here a while.

need codes from OP.

Wait our cars have a g sensor?

EDIT: could be a parking brake error too

To OP, ask for them to show you the part that was replaced after work is done, so you know that they actually did the work instead of just wiping the codes.

And there is a multi-model TBS for the brake switch. From what everybody had an issue with on this is that they couldn't start the car because they had a trim with the smart key. So, I assume that they wouldn't be able to see a CEL.

ok so i got the rear tires replaced they are now 285/30/20 which diameter is 26.73 the stock diamter from the 245/40/19 is 26.71 which is closer than the 26.49 that i had on the rear. well the light still tripped so all i can think it is that the fronts are the problem now. Going to get them changed tomm. going with 255/30/20 in the front which is really close to factory diameter of 26.08 and the current diameter is 26.75 the new diamter will be 26.02. please cross your fingers for me....lol
