Opinions Needed Keep or let go

I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 with all of the extras im the second owner and i have had it since 54k miles it is now at 112k miles with no mechanical issues due to money issues i havnt been able to upgrade it as much as i would have liked to at this point. ( only have exhaust done and a few aesthetics). So what im wondering is now that i am in a finacial situation where i would be able to start putting money into my car, Should i at this point,or should i look for a new car since this one has so many miles on it

The only major issues I know of with that many miles are the timing chain needing to be done. Might as well replace anything and everything else while its torn apart. Realistically, you have to ask yourself how is the car in its current state? Has all the maintenance been taken care of, is there anything wrong with the transmission, and the overall condition of the exterior/interior. If the car is in good condition then I would consider taking on high mileage maintenance items before upgrading begins.

If your still happy with the car then mod away and enjoy it. If not, time for new vehicle.

Only mod the car if you're in love with it. If you wouldn't mind losing it or have your eye on another car I wouldn't bother. I personally love waking up every morning and driving my genesis. I have so many plans for it and I'm really looking forward to saving money to mod it and really make it my own. If you don't really care much for the car are financially stable and are looking to upgrade I say just sell it and buy the car you really want

I want a genesis hands down i love the car i was just fearing that I waited to long to do anything to it and that it would be better to try and buy a newer or same year genesis with less miles or if they had long lifespans and i should just continue to roll with mine

I'm honestly not too sure about the longevity of these cars. You can probably try and snag a brand new one up on a pretty sweet deal seeing as how they discontinued it. I bought a 2016 gen coupe and they were practically begging me to buy it because they wanted as many off the lot as soon as possible.

Yeah 33 for the ultimate is a good deal that's basically the msrp price
Unless you're gonna track it or drift with it I'd say you're better off getting the base and having more room to mod it
That's what I did

I honestly just want to get a 2013 with around 20-30k miles and just go from there i have so much resent on building the 2012 to far because the 13+ already beats it by 46 HP bc of the direct fuel injected

Timing chain should be good for another 100,000 miles I would think. I prefer the looks of the 1st generation over the 2nd. Only reason I would trade mine in on a 13+...is to get the revised transmission. My 2010 3.8 is sitting at around 52,000 miles. Trying to keep the mileage low for a high trade in value if I did decide to upgrade.

If it were me (A cheapskate) I would drive it into the ground until I found something I like better. This is assuming its already paid off. Nothing like being that much more debt free.
