After plenty of time on the flow bench, Grimmspeed is proud to bring you a balanced intake manifold. We have worked over the 3.8L V6 upper and lower intake manifolds thus reducing the variance between runners. The OEM variance is roughly 10.8% and our balanced manifolds have been taken down to a minimal 2.1% variance across the board.

The runners on the driver's side of the V6 are well balanced in OEM form, and that how we leave them. The runners on the passenger side of the V6 are slow in comparison. Our porters with their skilled hands and knowledge increase the flow to meet that of the other bank of the V6. After the porting is complete, all runners are left with a media blasted finish to preserve surface uniformity across all runners. The end result is a well balanced intake manifold, allowing for more aggressive tuning and a smoother running V6.

If you fail to do this we may charge you for the labor it takes a tech to disassemble everything.

Will do. We also actually let people pre-pay to reserve a spot in line. Basically we just hold your money in paypal, and if there's a problem or it ends up taking too long for you we can just issue a refund.

Still waiting unfortunately, but will do!

It's not required, but getting a tune does help get the most out of the porting job. Tuning takes advantage of the extra air coming in, which gets you the most gains.

What are the expected gains from this? If I'm going to put on the phenolic I might go ahead and do this as well.

I see you said cooler intake and improved throttle response, any specific Hp or torque improvement?

I do not know what gains you'd get from just putting on the ported manifold, but I do know SunsPSD saw a 15whp gain from this after custom tuning. He also saw an increase in mileage from the ported manifold.
