Came out clean! I've been lagging it on my subs for the longest time lol, but I still debating if I should go with the 8" so I can put it where the OEM sub goes, or if I should get a 10" and the spend money on a zenclosure. I have replaced stock speakers with Alpine Type-R speakers and tweeters... Know all I need is the sub to complete my sound system

It's the trim ring that comes with it but insted of it fitting into the sub I cut the whole in the pack tray to fit the ring

Very clean. Good DYI. Are you going to sound dampen? Does this rattle the car way more then the stock?

I taped all the wires down and the only rattle I had was the 3rd brake light and the window I placed small felt squares between the two and seems to be working great

I've always wanted to do this because it would save space by using the area where the stock sub went. I was just afraid that even a nice 8" sub wouldn't hit the lows just right like the 10's do.

I dont think the Type R series of subs are rated for infinite baffle applications. Any issues with bottoming out?
