Default Blue Quad Bi-Xenon HID Switchback Headlights - $1650 Build

Crazy price huh? This thing could hardly be a more expensive build. Here's the breakdown:

400 - KDM Headlights
250 - Retrofit Labor
245 - Retroquick Kit (MH1 Projector, Adapter Plate, Hardware and HID Kit)
200 - Secondary MH1 Projectors and HID kit
100 - Switchback LED Corner Module
160 - Switchback Angel Eyes and Module
45 - Switchback LED bulbs and Flasher Relay
150 - Bezel (housing) OEM 2-Stage Paint
75 - Shrouds OEM 2-Stage Paint
25 - Relay Harness for PnP Install

Quad Bi-Xenon means we've packed 4 individual Morimoto Mini H1 (MH1) projectors into these Genesis Coupe headlights. The stock projector was replaced with the MH1, and a second MH1 was retrofit into the high beam section of the lights, that uses its own relay harness directly from the battery. These headlights also have Switchback LED corner Modules, Switchback LED bulbs, and Switchback LED Angel Eyes. The custom paint job matches the Exterior paint perfectly using a 2 stage OEM Hyundai Blue paint, and the entire job is sealed using an extra bead of rubber Butyl to prevent any moisture from entering the headlights.

When the headlights are turned on, the stock circuit provides power for the MH1 projectors in the stock location, and the relay is triggered for the secondary projectors, to allow direct voltage from the battery to flow into the ballasts. This means no flickering, no extra stress on the stock circuit, and even provides the option to install a switch to turn the secondary projectors on and off as desired.

Contact FlyRyde for pricing on any job you can think of, and we'll retro or modify your lights exactly as you want them to be. Need them paint matched to a set of wheels? No problem, we can even paint the wheels and headlights to match!

Headlights look amazing but someone would have to be nuts to spend that much on.....headlights. There is much better purchases that can be made for our cars in that price range.

Nice work and all, but two things.

1) $1600 on headlights...I couldn't do it.
2) I'm not a fan of the angel eyes, but that's just me.

I couldn't afford me either. Its all broken down in the parts list at the top, you can see, this guy just didn't leave anything out. Most of my builds dont come anywhere near this much, but the ones that people buy the new KDM headlights always have that next level pricing. If somebody were to send in their headlights and have this same job done, the price would be a lot easier to swallow at 1250, but even then, that's ALL the bells and whistles.

I'd like to see a similar build without the Angel Eyes, with the Paint matched parts and Quad Bi-Xenon Setup. At 1090 its a lot easier to justify for going over the top. I certainly dont mind when people go all out, but not everyone with a brand new car dumps this kind of cash into headlights.

You guys have to remember that not everybody who owns this car has the same budget that you do. Some of the members on this forum are runnin a $500 set of wheels while others are runnin wheels that cost over 4 grand.

So while spendin 2K might break the bank for most, it's walking around money for others. Chump change baby lol.

The headlights came out gorgeous BTW Chris. That blue is beautiful. Nice work mang!

@KrAk3N LMAO oh man I did really laugh out loud

Thank you so much guys! I was having a really hard time getting all the jobs done because so many had piled up. I had about 6 weeks of jobs laid out, and with supply challenges, and other setbacks, they all ended up needing to get done in the same week. I have barely recovered from that, and one of the key changes I made was outsourcing my paint. Luckily now I can keep my pricing on paint the same, but the quality has gone way WAY up, and its freed up my time tremendously. Soon I'll be out of the woods and be able to take on a ton of new jobs

I appreciate all the support and props you guys give, its always nice to see!

Very nice. What's you typical turnaround on a basic non-$1,600 design? Curious how shipping plays into the costs of going back and forth.

Thanks!

I just paid 80 bucks to ship these via UPS for BSDKing here They're his lights! He's in British Columbia, Canadia, and I'm basically in Los Angeles, CA.

As far as turn around time on basic jobs that include paint, is safe to pad the job to about 5 days total. It used to take me about 2 weeks minimum when my plate wasn't so full, but getting the paint done by a local pro seriously has been cutting down the time by a ton!

Take a look at the pricing at the top of the page and grab just what you're interested in. Say you wanted Dual projectors, but not Quad, with an HID kit for your factory projector and the whole housing paint matched to your car, the price would be 780 plus shipping. They'd look very similar to these, only produce about 1/2 or 3/4 the light output.
