Default Sequential LED Turn Signal Headlights - Video and Pics

OK, so I've been wanting to do this for years, and finally lined everything up so I could start to offer this. Here's the deal, I have custom boards built that can use either an 8 channel, or a 16 channel setup. For me this means more wires, for you this means more money. Each one of the 8 or 16 wires, can power up to 4 Amber LEDs. More than likely, I'll just be hooking them up to 1 LED per channel in these housings. I spaced them out SUPER far, and normally they wouldn't be this far apart, I just wanted to see how it would look, and I'm actually really happy with them. If the spacing bugs you, imagine how more than twice the LEDs would look. The more LEDs, the smoother the slide is.

Reflectors are something else I'll likely be doing along with these FLUX type LEDs. I think its nice to be able to mount them without reflectors to keep these clean, since they're clear, and there are no visible wires. This opens up a world of options for any type of Audi style configuration with both white, or amber LEDs. Pricing is gonna suck for custom work though. This is the process to mount each LED:

1. Bend the leads to a 90º angle
2. Cut two super thin wires about 3" long and strip both ends
3. Create a loop at the end of each wire, and carefully solder it to the LED leg (one for neg, one for pos)
4. Measure and mark the bezel before drlling a tiny hole for the wire, then make the second hole in exactly the right spot
5. Take the LED with two wires soldered, and run them through the holes, then bend the wires to hold the position and silicone the area
6. Connect all pos. wires together using one long wire that each one attaches to
7. Solder each neg. wire to the corresponding channel wire (hence the extra charge since its twice the work for 16 channels)
8. Keep this massive complex wire system clean without excess, and make it look good and out of the way before trying to reseal.

Please understand I only made that fatty step by step to show how tedious this work is, so if its out of your budget, just know I'm working hard for what I charge

SWITCHBACK!!!: Ok, my new term "Switchback Running Lights with Sequential turn Signals" (SRLSS). You can have a setup where there is a row of say 16 LEDs, where every other LED is white. The white LEDs will be hooked up as Day Time Running Lights, and the Amber LEDs will be hooked up to the sequential control board. When the turn signal is activated, the white LEDs will shut off, and the sliding sequence starts on the Amber LEDs. If you REALLY want me to hate myself, I could do the same thing using 32 LEDs per headlight, 16 white, 16 Amber, using a 16 channel board. Not fun, and probably no worth the money, lol.

Adjustable Timing: There is a toggle switch for each board. As an option, I can include a custom wiring harness that plugs into the control boards, and runs inside the car, or inside the engine compartment to control the speed of the sliding effect. If you push and hold the toggle, the LEDs will light up, then the speed will increase. The first time this is done, all LEDs will light up, and the slowest setting will then be set. Once you let go of the toggle the new speed will be set. Press and hold again, and this time all but one LED will light up, and after you let go the speed will be set to the next quickness. Continue on until only 2 or 3 LEDs light up after holding the toggle, and the speed is crazy fast, just zipping across the channels. When only 1 LED lights up, its so fast you can't really even tell which way its moving, its just lighting up faster than you can keep up Again, I can preset these, or for an extra charge, include the toggle so you can play with it

Just thought I'd share. Any questions, please ask. I can have the board programmed anyway you'd like, including a way that keeps the Amber LEDs lit during the slid effect instead of fading off creating the trailing effect shown here.

Would these be available without the Halo rings? I like the look, but I'm just not convinced that it doesn't look as "clean" as just the projectors.

yeah, matter of fact, these done even have to be in headlights! Anything, including side markers (I'm building a set for another platform as well), Tail Lights, or something custom like the openings on the Night Shadow bumper acrylic. Anywhere you would want, even if its in the headlights with nothing else.

I'm still trying to get final numbers on the sequential setup so I can break it down into options for you guys. Right now its looking like the installed setup with 8 LEDs (video and pics show it with only 7) will start at about 200 for the option.
