Default Bathurst Black Headlights with White LED Angel Eyes and 5000K HIDs

View the entire photo collection here: Shazad's Bathurst Black HID Headlights with LED Angel Eyes - a set on Flickr

I love this setup. Its actually one of the best bang for the buck builds you can do. The OEM Bathurst Black paint just kills it, and definitely suites the car better than the typical satin, flat, or generic 1 stage gloss black.

The DD White Angel Eyes on black circuit boards look great as well, and I even rewired the 194 bulb behind the amber reflector to blink with the turn signal instead of come on with the parking lights.

This was supposed to be a super modest install of just the angel eyes and 5000K HID kit, but I accidentally had a set of bezels and shrouds painted OEM Black, which all I needed was satin. So I offered to upgrade the job to new prepainted bezels and shrouds for only 100 more, and I was very happy to get the pics and video of these lights on the car.

This exact setup would cost the following:

150 - Labor
150 - Bathurst Black 2 Stage Paint (Shrouds and Bezels)
80 - H11 HID Kit (5000K)
50 - White LED Angel Eyes
20 - Internal Wiring Connections

450 - Total

pretty dang close to how I'd want mine done.
What can you do with the reflector? That's the only thing I dislike about this setup.

I have OEM HID's, would want Red Angel Eyes, & Bathurst Shrouds
Would want smoked Reflectors.
Also do you do Stealth Bulbs for the inner lights at all?
Price?

^^^ A set of headlights I did. I tinted the corner and kept the inner turn signal plastic piece out. But, flyryde may only do legal light modifications, and I think tinting the amber reflector may be illegal.

Flyryde, you do incredible work but why do you always keep the inner turn signal plastic piece in? Once the housings are painted anything but the original chrome, it looks so out of place. When chrome its not really noticeable, but against a dark color like the black it stands out and I think detracts...

I like the clear inner lens personally, its just a nice extra detail, but what i like isnt what im making money to do, it s doing whatever my customers want. Thanks for the compliment. Trust me when i say only a small fraction of what i offer as far as options would pass inspection. I did a build that i finished last night thats 100% black satin, with the clear inner lens and white LED angel eyes. I dont know man, leaving 4 ugly little notches / holes instead of the clear lens that has been carefully removed and reinstalled is just sloppy work unless specific instructions have been made to do so. It would be a lot easier, but i get paid to do the hard stuff on the majority of my builds. Only rarely do i get something thats a breeze like blacked out chrome and angel eyes i really like the clean and simple stuff too!

Hey Chris,
Nice to see FlyRyde is still around and more successful than ever! While we had our differences in the past, nobody can ever doubt your genius when it comes to your custom headlight & taillight work.

I know who to call if I ever buy a Genesis. You're painting and angel eye installs are top notch! Keep it up.
