Default New white Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track!

I have been checking out the GC long before they came out. I just ended my lease on a 2007 benz 350 conv. I went last Sat and bought a black 3.8 loaded out, I got it home and just didn't dig the black "sparkle jelly shoes" paint job, so I took it back 2 days later and upgraded to a white 3.8 track. I put 200 miles on black 3.8 before upgrading to the white 3.8 track and I can tell you first hand after working in the automotive field for 15 years that there is a HUGE difference in these cars. The Track is a whole other animal. And yes, the limited slip makes all the difference in the world! The Track has a VERY stiff ride that some would find almost annoying, but it makes it very fun to drive. The standard 3.8 driving experience is very tame compared to a Track.

To all the people that thought the Track wasn't worth the extra 2 g's... sorry, you're wrong! It is! For what you get it is actually a steal! If you are leasing a GC 3.8 you would be foolish not to get as many options as possible because it's all residualized and you end up paying about 44% of the cost of the options over 36 months. I started looking at base 3.8s and I ending up with a track for about $40 more a month.

Love the car!

I totally agree: I drove both a 3.8 base and a 3.8 Track before I bought my car, and the Track is a whole different animal in the way it handles. I was able to finance the Track for only $50 a month more than if I had bought a base 3.8, and I consider that $50 a month to be money well spent.

Default Thanks guys!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yeah, I leased mine... had to at this time. Plus it's a great tax write off! I plan on buying it at the end of the lease. The residual after 36 months is
$16k and I'm sure a 3 year old GC Track with less that 30k miles on it will be worth more than that. I could even sell it and make money at the end of the lease and get a new one if they have made any considerable improvements to the car. As for right now I plan to Buy it later on.

I live in the Charlotte NC area, so if there are any folks around me that want to start a car club hit me up. I want to form a Carolina GC club.

This car is amazing!!!

I agree. I love the track package and very happy I got it. The Brembo's work kickass + they look great behind the 19" wheels, the spoiler flows perfectly with the body lines and the LSD. The sun roof, HID's and interior are just bonuses.

The track package really sets off the looks of the car perfectly IMO.

Congrats on the purchase!

I bought the 3.8 Track 6MT, but I got black...I really wanted White, but black was the only one they had...Not to mention, they gave me one helluva deal!

I've had mine for a week now. The Track Package is Wonderful! I love the car soo much!

I can live with black...I just have to up my game on keeping it clean!

Do you have any plans for the GC?
