not sure who's up there in nocal that has a reflash but you need to go on a test drive with a modded 2.0t it's like a whole new car. For 1500-2000 you can have a reflash and tbe and be in the 230hp 280-300 tq range. Much more fun to drive!

Well the car I test drove was a Track edition. Money isn't such a huge issue but it is a factor of course. I don't think I could cope with an RSpec with the amount of highway driving I do cruise control is a must.

what mods do u have done? A turbo upgrade of some sort if you are expecting 270-300 hp.

I own a 2.0T that has been modded, its a lot of fun.
I am in the process of getting a dyno done but it will be in the 270-300 WHP range.

If you are worried about power.....start with the V6 Genesis.
there are supercharger and turbo kits coming out for them.
The v6 is starting to show a lot of promise for tuners as well.

What I like about the Genesis (no matter what engine) is that it is a head turner.
I constantly have people who drive high end cars asking me about my ride.
I never had that when I had a modded Audi A4.
The genesis is something new and people are noticing it.

Depends on the dyno! I have "301" on a heartbreaker mustang but I've seen guys on stock turbo Stage 2 STIs do more HP than me on other shop dynos but I know they're not faster. Dyno numbers are a real pain the ass IMO. The dyno I'm on is not very generous but I've dynoed on it stock and with each mod thereafter. 81 WHP and 93 WTQ gained from stock

I understand dynos and I know the numbers people are getting on different dynos. No one is even close to 270 on the stock turbo

Hmm... In that case I think I'll be waiting before I purchase a Genny. I'm no leader LOL. I need to know things work before I do them.

well you won't have to wait long, I'm about to max out the stock turbo. I already have cp-e tbe and intake and a PowerAxel reflash and put down 231/312. On the way to my house is a lovefab turbo manifold, my stock intake manifold, throttlebody and turbo all ported and polished by grimmspeed. Shortly there after I will have a cp-e fmic kit. That pretty much everything that can be done utilizing the stock turbo. I hope to hit 260 hp.

Once all that is done a simple turbo upgrade, injectors, and retune will put me at 375 or so.

Thats pretty damned impressive. If I knew the reliability outcome of all that I would be less hesitant. Year one tech kinda scares me.

Well I went in again... This time to purchase. I had the title to my car in my glove box.

The dealer wouldn't even negotiate with me and haha... They actually told me I could leave.

Yep. It's dirty. I refused the dealer prep I'd rather do it myself. Drove it home with the plastic still on it.

I thought about red but it's just so high profile.

I'm mainly just so excited about finally not having a silver car!
