Oh wow...

Arvin is the man. Pure and simple. The ear to ear grin I'm experiencing right now is preventing my brain from functioning at 100% but I'll post my detailed write up tomorrow about my absolutely fantastic experience with PowerAXEL and more importantly Arvin's zen like patience (I'm really stupid) and his top notch, 2nd to none customer service.

If you own a Gen Coupe 2.0T you OWE it to yourself to purchase this modification! Don't waste your time on the other tune options. The PA unit is the ONLY WAY to go.

Intake is installed! Went on super easy except for the stupid hose clamp that holds the second piece of the stock intake on the turbo... That made it into a 30 minute job because of 1... quarter... turn... at a time... CURSE YOU KOREANS AND YOUR TINY HANDS!

The video CPE released for this intake really doesn't do it justice. It sounds SO cool in person. The stock BOV is LOUD!

Sorry about the quality but works pretty good for a phone that couldn't do video at release. Also ignore the actual footage and just listen. Had to shoot this by myself lol.

However! There must have been a wee bit of a mix up because this downpipe is not catted! Oh well I shall deal with it in the morning!

I test drove a 2010 WRX last week and was fairly unimpressed with the plastic interior & crappy (worse than GC's base) radio. Do I really want to pay $27,500 for this thing? (5 door WRX Limited) After my test drive yesterday in a GC 3.8 the answer is a definite NO.

Hence why I sold mine

The crappy ugly mismatched interior and the colonial wagon suspension... I just couldn't deal with it any more.

Well I got a spare moment to install my Sequence-X front fascia today so I figured I'd give it a shot! Looks great right!




WRONG!


To be honest I'm not even sure I want this thing on my car The fitment is terrible. The cuts to make it fit around the black center piece look like they gave a retard a dremel and told him to have at it. The pre-painted option that I paid extra for was definitely not worth it. It made it through shipping fine but just trying to get it to fit I put 2 small cracks in the paint.

I'm going to take it to a body shop tomorrow and see what they can do with it.

This is the first body modification I've EVER done to a car and now I know why I always was a performance guy.

edit yes I see the ends are chipped, that's my fault... I dropped it pulling it off.

Just got my DP installed! I opted against trying to install it myself and I had the right idea. The shop broke 2 out of 3 turbo studs getting it off! But it's on now!

Good choice. I was in the same boat and picked up a grey 3.8 track to be my DD. Still have the STi, but now that I'm not daily driving it, I have a bit more leeway to go mod happy with it. Or I would if the GC payments weren't eating up my mod budget

Dyno day!

Took the car over to Midnight Performance over off of White Rock. Great shop with really really cool guys working there. I think I've found where I'm going to finish having my car put together.

Results were pretty good with the best run yielding 225 WHP and 265 WTQ! Not bad for a car with only a tune, intake and a downpipe!

I am very pleased and I can't wait to continue making this car faster! It was a huge hit at the shop as no one had really seen one. The comments were all positive... except for the intercooler size LOL. That didn't win any fans but the rest of the car was well received.
