Yet another joins the R-Spec family!
I've been looking to get into a Genesis coupe for the past couple of months and while I liked the features of the Track edition, the sunroof proved to be an issue. Insert the R-Spec which I've found to be a perfect compromise. The unfortunate factor; the R-Spec isn't available in the New England region (CT, MA, ME, etc.). After searching the Tri-State area over the last month and dealing with numerous dealerships, I purchased a Karussell White R-Spec from Valley Stream on Long Island NY yesterday. Talk about about a long day of driving, 3.5hrs down and 4+hrs back (due to weather). After 300 miles on the clock, I'm impressed. It's nice to see a manufacturer step up and delivery what the public has wanted; a 4cyl RWD sports coupe. No plans on modifications yet, but knowing me that will change fast. Rick

davisk6, what is your tag on NASIOC? Mine is the same as on here.
I've been a member since 03', though haven't posted much recently.

Welcome! Congrats on finding your R-Spec! I was lucky.. the dealer I went to had 3.. one in each color. But I think those went quick.. (one of them is mine now.. haha)

Indeed the weather has been awesome the past few days after having a 3-4 day stretch cold\rainy days. NE weather sucks honestly, it's too hot during the day and too cold during the night now. I've learned to adapt to it though... I even shovel snow in my T-shirt I'm so use to the cold.
These cars seem to be selling like crazy although I haven't seen any GC's on the road besides mine yet. I've heard of a couple people I know who just purchased them in Boston, I'm in the Boston area... I purchased my car from Tom O'Brien Hyundai in Quincy, MA (Boston-Metro) and the day I went in to look for the specific one I wanted (2.0 Track) they told a Red R-Spec that same day and still had it in there lot. Congrats the new car... it's been about a week I had my car and I already got over 2,000 miles on it. =) Being a previous owner of both the Evo 8 and STi, I am not disappointed in this car whatsoever, about time Hyundai made a real car.
