2012 Genesis Coupe passenger window regulator questions
Cable/gear or something went bad and window fell down inside door. Had to drill out rivets holding regulator to guides frame as I couldn't remove regulator frame because of window still being attached inside guide. Went to a Upullit yard near me and found at totaled 2010 with intact passenger door that some one had already removed and left it on back seat, but the window as gone. Supposedly the regulators are the same 2010 to 2014. The motor however has a different wiring harness on the 2010 so I just popped on mine instead and it seemed to move up an down a bit when I rewired the window button on door card and toggled it a bit to test operation.
Unfortunately I don't have a garage and my first couple attempts to dissemble kept getting interrupted and I had to re-tape up the garbage bag to keep out the rain. So I don't recall if there was a front restraining bolt or not or how it was attached. I still have all the parts but couldn't sort out a solution before I got rained out again.
My question is this: On the 2012 does passenger window just have one bolt restraint through the bottom of window to attach it to the regulator track, on far back right side of window (sitting in passenger seat to my right). How do you secure the front or left side of window or does it just rest in the groove?
I have another bolt but nothing to screw it into on the other side even if I align it through the access portals. Am I missing something that slips on the bottom of the window allowing the bolt to be threaded through the portal? Any advice is appreciated.
I found what looks like a good video on youtube showing an obviously experienced father working on his sons car window, but the idiot son replaced audio track instructions with a stupid sound track instead of the tips I needed.
Any detailed advice, manual or photos would be greatly appreciated.
