yeah. If I end up running with the horses I'm aiming for a fully decked out v6, I like smaller engines, unless they come down with a SVO that's what I'll be doing.

Yeah, I might be checking one out too. Mustangs are definitely a lot more common than gencoupes, but you can't argue with the performance and mileage of the V6. Plus you can customize them much more than the gen from the dealer. I don't know, I most likely will be deciding between the mustang, gen, and WRX again like I did 3 years ago unless I decide to downgrade a bit and get something like the Veloster or Focus.

For say :
US base Camaro - $23,200
Can base Camaro - $26,995

Where is the Camaro built by the way? Can't remember exactly, seem to recall driving down some highway an hour away from where I live and seeing a bunch of them somewhere...so of course Ford would be like, 'I'm getting in there too if they like it in the butt'.

Hence why I won't give the big 3 a $20 bill unless I get raped for it (see bailout).

Anyway, the Mustang is the best muscle car on the planet. If you disagree, you know nothing about cars . If it wasn't for the hate for the big 3 I would consider one.

Man, I just saw the concepts of the 2014. I do not like the direction they're taking it. It's like they started off with a new Camaro and spiced it up some with Mustang touches.

If they're the ones I'm thinking of then don't worry.
Those images were made by a fan and got a LOT of attention, they were actually released before the new Camaro was so it stirred even more sh*t.

Ford has said that they're aiming for a much more modern look that will be instantly recognizable as a Mustang. They're done with the retro look but they're not done with it being a Mustang.

Yes ford did have a line of credit but it didn't get bailout money. Getting a high interest short term loan and selling part of the company are two seperate things. Hell even Intel, with like $20 Billion in the bank, still gets loans from time to time. Same with Micro$oft.

Ford didn't technically take bailout money, but you're right, that doesn't mean they didn't take government money. During the negotiations for GM and Chrysler though, they were told that if Ford wasn't involved, they wouldn't be either and Ford was basically pleaded by GM and Chrysler to be part of the meetings because after their first arrival and refusal Ford saw no real reason to go back to the table.

And of that $7 billion, the majority of it was put in Ford Credit's hands, not FoMoCo's, which in reality, was covering the loss of the now massive amounts of people defaulting on their car loans. Hence why the money was taken not as a big lump sum but smaller increments.

What killed GM and Chrysler was their credit devisions too. But Ford credit did not do any business but with Ford car buyers. Chrysler and GM both were in the housing market.
