I believe many nav company offers ecu readout info to ther hardware in Korea.

This one is independent vid module read out ecu output signal and pair to display to smartphone. With car equip with bcm, you can command using smartphone to open / close doors, roof, trunk etc.

similar one offer from partner company

jaybone: I have iGO running on mine. I'll send you a PM for instructions on doing this and I don't require payments. Props to Mogen for help though (he sold his car)

glad to see my name is still mentioned here

I'm about to install unavi on my friends genesis (the car was sold to another friend and he's very happy with it)

just wanted to check if there is any software update and it looks really good here

I bought a brand new 3.6 cadillac CTS by the way, I love it but I still miss the genesis.

Sedan.

I have a plan of keeping the cadillac and buying another RWD coupe/roadster in the future. don't know if this will become a reality.

I can lease a 2013 GC now but that will be too much financially.

going down the list on the first pic:
com0-com5 auto detect + autostart (main)
OBD communication(?) port setup + autostart (main)
OBD communication port setup + manuel start
Current communication port setup = COM0
Then the box says the re-search port
the first check box says that click on it if it is bluetooth model
second box says 7inch navigation model with USB drive erasing capability(?)

the second picture:
for Free-OBD only (prioritize sending speed) and all free-OBD support
for Free-OBD only (keep compatibility) and OBD standard support
For ELM323 compatible (engine OBD only)
for ELM327 compatible (engine OBD only)

Hope this helps crash
I would love to have these features for our navigation

THANK YOU! This should help a ton!

I was kind of lost in the setup/configuration portion - usually I can thumb through it, but with it not working, I wasn't sure if i was selecting the right options, or if something else was going on!

Thumbs up

apology for not keeping up lately to participate.. the woman is squeezing me

anyways, since the last 2 weeks I tried using ELMSCAN 5 USB with many drivers in order to make it work under WinCE but most of them require more than just copying/pasting... the cable works like a MF with laptops that run Windows n linux... I bought 2 cables from ebay just to resolve this issue n resume working in this project with u guys.

now I can see from the posts that u did a tremendous progress n I wonder if it's possible to speed up the baud-rate so that ALL gauges can display more smoothly?

I know i can do this easily under Windows 7 using Scantools.net free app.. but i don't know

Can't help you with IGO8 other than recommend you purchase it from an authorized reseller - if their links are broken, I am sure their support will help you out.

In regards to the parameters... they are on this thread, here

The TOMTOM error seems to be very common on WINCE 6, check out the following links Here

Hope this helps in your searches...

well, i had already basically googled my whole night away >_> so thanks for that...but i was hoping someone had already gotten it to work...i read around that theres some people running it...but they never explain how.

also..the main problem im having with igo is when i start it..the screen just goes blue like in aux mode...i dunno whats wrong with it.

and this is all i have under sys txt

[folders]
app="SDMMC/SPEEDNAVI_GINI/BIN"

[interface]
skin="ui_igo8"

so where does baud and port go?

No idea about the blue screen, not really sure where you sourced your program from and if it's even the right distribution for winCE6 w/ an ARM processor.

For the sys.txt settings, the first result shows what the section should look like for the baud rate, if you don't have it.. just add it - sys.txt

There a ton of settings you can change within sys.txt, xda-developers has an enormous thread around all the paramters you can customize.

Just keep in mind, while most of us here don't mind helping, we also aren't going to spoon feed you.

All of the questions you've asked so far have been easily answered either by referencing this (54 page) thread, or, as my links have shown you, simple google searches.

I don't say that out of disrespect, however we have made great discoveries with this, and other devices, by spending hours upon hours researching - it gets annoying when a simple google search reveals the answer to a question asked 500 times before

IGO does not have auto detect feature to detect the port that the GPS is using

change the parameters of sys.txt file from the software folder from:

port=2
baud=9600

to:

port=7
baud=4800

i'll spoon feed u

Check this N-Trip for universal navigation OBD gauge function.

Made by JY Custom Korea and we will have sample to test. (km/h though).

Maybe too simple for you guys, but I can talk into the V.P. to make in English. We drank some Soju together and became friend now.

so i guess i'm done with the unavi hacking project but it's got some glitches that i cant seem to be able to fix at all.. i.e: if i tend to trigger the clock (DISP button).. it will freeze... if i switch on the stereo... it will freeze a little .. n the list goes on.. anyways.. it finally worked
here's a quick video of it

interesting. I'll play with it once you've uploaded the files and see what I can do, crashp might have better luck with it though.
