Ive been waiting to write this review until i hit the track with this clutch and flywheel setup, but it doesnt look like thats going to happen anytime soon. The weather has been terrible!

I ordered this clutch directed from Competion. Originally I had planned to go with the stage 3, segmented Kevlar until i had talked to the marketing manager. He recommended the segmented ceramic disk instead. (Part # 5095-2600) This disk isnt listed as an option, but is available! I installed this clutch and flywheel a little over a month ago and it has just been awesome! Let me start by saying the install is actually pretty easy. (thanks to a few pointers from some friends) I installed this setup in my garage with a friend in about 3 1/2 hours.

I would also reccomend replacing the TOB while the transmission is out. This is something you have to get from a dealer, but i believe Beyond Redline also sells them. New bearing installed:

Heres a short video showing the play that was in my stock flywheel and why you might want to switch!

The pedal feels great! It is noticiably stiffer than stock and the engagement is higher. Its very easy to drive as a DD once you get used to it. Launches on this setup are awesome. I have my wotbox set to 4k which seems about perfect, but like i said havent track tested this set up yet.. I am expected 12s with better tires though

A few tips, The CC stickers on the product show the direct it should face. This is very useful to know if you havent installed a Competition product in the past. The stickers will face outward. I would like to thank BBB for his help!

How much play did your stock flywheel have when spinning it by hand? I just did the normal Kevlar CC Stage 3 kit, and I noticed I could rotate my flywheel about an inch back and forth with no resistance.

I had atleast an inch.. I had a rattle I couldn't find and it ended up being my stock flywheel.. The stocker is junk

Im almost at 700-800 miles, and it feels WAY better than it did the first couple days. At first I thought it was a little too stiff for my taste, but now it feels like it could be a stock clutch on a LS1 car. Very smooth, and close to stock engagement length, its not a On/Off switch at all, just crabs like it should, and goes. lol

ha yeah the first few days are a little rough.. After the break in period though, it is just awesome!

where did you purchase this from? and if you dont mind me asking, how much did it end up being? clutch and fw?

im looking to upgrade, and im looking at Competition and clutchmasters. Looking to get a stage 3 cause my coupe is still my dd. and i hit traffic sometimes. like this past wednesday... 3hrs of stop and go...

i got mine directly from Competition. Clutch and flywheel should be right around 900

Mine was $796 with shipping. I think it took 5 days to show up from the day I ordered it.

Got mine in, Im just waiting on my new throwout bearing and clutch line to show up before its installed, Im stoked! My oem clutch is slipping so bad and Im not even tuned anymore lol!

I didnt pm all of them (because it pisses me off to no end that nobody can post a fu(king price on this website) and all of them wanted over $900.

It is do to MFR MAP restrictions. Competition Clutch is very strict with there pricing policies.

I just mean in general. Every single item for sale by a sponcer you have to pm for a price. Id rather just open a post and look. I am on a TON of boards, and cant think of a single other one im on where they dont post prices of anything.

Trust me, it would make my life a heck of a lot easier as a vendor if that was the case. But we would never make a single sale, all of the other vendors would just list it for less, I don't like it any more than you do. If I could do it that way, I would 100% prefer it over the PM method.
