I'm so excited to have these finished up and mounted to the car. I wont have the car till Tuesday, as me and my buddy Brandon keep missing eachother when we're available to finish this, lol. I LOVE the tails, they're badass in person, and I'm sure on the car they'll look even better. The headlights I've had gutted forever, and the poor guy has been driving around town with no bezels forever now, lol, but it kinda looks cool that way

Once I get the housings back, I'll finalize the LED strip, since its not completely in place at the moment, and is kinda wavy.

I posted up about the painting on these, but here's the rest of the build info:

Tail Light Specs:

OEM tails cut open
1 Stage OEM Nord Gray Bezels
Dual Color Red and Amber LED Angel Eyes

Headlight Specs:

OEM HID Headlights
1 Stage OEM Nord Gray Bezels, Shrouds, and Reflectors
Dual Color White and Amber LED Angel Eyes
Switchback LED Strips
Black Switchback Turn Signal Bulbs (not shown yet)

I can't wait man! I just want to see how they look right next to the 2 stage OEM paint. I'll take some pics in the sun today, these things sparkle like crazy. I'll post up in a bit, just woke up after staying up editing all night

sick job on those tails and headlights. I remember coming across your videos on youtube...i wish there was an easier way to deal with opening the tail lights

Right in the middle of adding the bezel to the headlight lens, one of the two Switchback LED strips decided that 3 of the amber LEDs didn't want to work anymore. I used the good strip that I had just picked up, only to find when it was installed we weren't thrilled with the look. Not only that, the strip can't handle the curve it needs for the Genesis lights, so it was pulling away at one part.

In the end we just decided to remove the strip, and use touch up paint on the holes. Individual LEDs would have looked great here, but with the big black strip there it just stood out too much. I'm done with these strips, lol, two different times now I had to bail on using them.

My father in law was over this morning, big into hotrods and all that. I was showing him some of my latest work, and he told me in about a year the color would actually look about the same color as the rest of the car. ZERO clue about if he's right or not, but he generally knows a fair bit about most things car related.

Thanks guys, we were really happy with the tails, and had we just decided against the stupid LED strips before I sealed up the lights the front end would have been finished too. Sucks, cause the strip looked SOOO nice when it was lit up from far away. This tells me that if I do individual LEDs all custom wired up without the ugly black strip, this will be a hot new trend for you guys. But as it sits now, it just cheapened the look with the strip.

I'm just gonna plug the holes and hit the plugs with some touch up paint so we can have these ready for the show this weekend. I'm gonna actually try to make an appearance since I never go to any events

Nice, do you have a picture of them when its darker out, or around dusk(for best photo)? Interesting to what they look like at night.

I should have a bunch more pics of this car and the lights after this weekend since it'll be at the show. I'll try to get new pics of all the cars with my work on them there. There should be at least 3 or 4 cars with some pretty cool work I've done there
