like the title says
DO NOT BUY FROM CX RACING
from crappy parts to even crappier customer service
you're just asking to loose your money

i normally dont get involved with posting in public about companies wether its good or bad, i just keep my personal opinions to my self. but yesterday cx racing pushed my buttons the wrong way.

ive been dealing with them personally to solve a couple of issues with one of my friends intercooler and exhaust mani

the parts dont fit properly and cx racing doesnt want to own up to it
the intercooler issue is not a big problem but the manifold is a different story "thread coming soon"
even if theyre within the 15 day return policy period they will still give you problems and they only want to give you partial store credit for returned items

but it gets worse....

when i asked to talk to the owner or manager, the sales person informed me and i quote "the owner doesnt want to deal with my issues anymore, either take it or leave it. and to go ahead and post a negative feedback on the forum that he doesnt care what you think because his wallet says otherwise, what ever that means!.... sorry i really cant help you anymore"

the statement stated above its the actual response that i got from Ace who's a sales person there at cx racing.

after a comment like that i personally think not only should they be banned from the forum but honestly just shut down and close your crappy business with those fake wanna be parts. cough** "ebay"

you get what you pay for:
crappy fake parts that dont fit
and even more crappier customer service

for those of you who feel the same way

keep in mind i test fitted the manifold with and without the exhaust wrap

Here is the crazy angle! literally 90 deg bend upwards

scratches where the manifold touches the head

where the runner touches the head.

stud hole next to the problematic runner

the flange is the correct flange and im sure the manifold is functional but the fitment is the issue with the manifold

not a problem

about the intercooler kit we all know the issues are with fitment
theres countless threads about it

but the oem replacement manifold is pretty much junk
unless your willing to modify it

my friend and i both bought the oem replacement mani

i bought mine about 2 months ago and just sat in my storage room until more parts arrived and my friend bought his last week

we tried to install my friends manifold on monday but 3rd cylinder runner starts at a extreme angle going upwards that it touches the head leaving a 1/2" gap between the flange and the head, then to make things worse, the bolt hole on the left of that runner is so close to the runner that you can't put no type of bolt or nut for the studs (who checks for quality control? not cx racing)
the manifold leterally doesnt fit

we contacted them and all they want to give my friend is partial store credit and they wanted him to pay for the shipping of the item on top of him not receiving his full refund or exchange before the 15 day period ends

the sales person was nice but the owner is the ahole who declines to talk to me about the situation.

you're always going to be responsible for shipping. I got bad mufflers from CPe's manufacturer and CPe offered to weld new ones on for free, but I ate shipping. It's not like it costs a lot, and I can understand you being pissed about having to pay to ship somebody else's mistake back to them, but that's usually how it goes. I don't suppose you have any pics to corroborate this, right?

Is it a cx racing FMIC? If it's not their brand, fitment's not really their responsibility, but it begs the question, if you knew there were issues with fitment for the IC you bought, why'd you buy it? And as far as the mani goes, idk, you'd need to post it or take video with the fitment issues. You'd be surprised how often things actually do fit but have to be worked at to get them in there right...the bolt hole issue sounds funny...if they didn't give you fastners it should reuse the stock bolts, but you're saying the bolts don't clear the runners because of the hole location? Did you try a crescent or just a socket? That'd have to be really tight in there to not be able to get a bolt through...but again, if it's not sitting correctly, that could change your bolt angle a lot...idk. Sounds like service sucks, but I'm not sold on the parts being defective without more evidence.

There's always small claims court i guess...

i completely understand about the shipping
ive done it before but what pisses me off is that he's shipping an item back and not getting at least full credit credit for the item. and when i say partial credit i mean
he bought the manifold for $400 and they only want to give him $280 in store credit!?!?

my friend bought the fmic without searching thats his fault and i dont want to make a big deal about it cuz its a easy fix

but the mani thats a screw up
they supply you with bolts that dont fit whats so ever and this was admitted by a pm sent by cx racing themselves

i will be more than happy to post pictures of the manifold as soon as i get home

but just keep in mind that this thread wasnt started because of the products themselves it was more about how they handled the situation and the comment the owner said

idk about any1 but i dont like to be treated like crap especially when im a consumer

as far as the email
i wish i had a email of them saying that but when it comes to customer issues they dont reply
the conversation and statements were said over the phone by the sales rep because the owner didnt want to talk to me

its obviosly hard to explain to people over the forum what your trying to get accross
this wasnt a scam or anything in that nature
i was just trying to share my experiece with this vendor
and sell the other manifold that hasnt been test fitted yet therefor it may not apply to the conditions listed above

I see what you're saying about the 3rd runner being on a pretty ridiculous angle, especially since there seems to be room in there to make it tighter and still clear the other runners. Bolt holes seem to be spaced far enough apart, but if the bolts don't fit the holes...well. Most people don't have frequent access to a free-for-use drill press to fix nonsense like that. In the future, I'd recommend disclosing things like your friend's not fitting if you want to remain part of the community. People around here get pretty pissy about that kind of stuff. Just a friendly heads up.

On a side note, I agree that's awful to pay $400 and get $280 in store credit less than 2 weeks later.

some people are just so ignorant, clueless, or just not capable of understanding whats being stated

i hope you can agree with me on that since it happens in about 90% of the threads

how many times have you seen other members tell "use search"?

i love this forum
im always searching thru it for new ideas and etc.
but the ignorance is what kills me
it makes search a nightmare of its own

i would love to post my projects and such, but just for the fact that some1 is going to ruined it keeps me away from posting threads and such

Cx is crap stuff. Been saying that since 4tgen/socalturbo started pushing their junk on the site a while back. There's a reason everything is so Cheap and its not because they get better deals on quality worksmnahip. Its cheap price because it's low quality.

If a company offers crap service and/or products, then they should be criticized.

The same goes for positive service and stellar products. It is a two way street.

to give my personal opinion about cx
they got a bad review for their crappy parts and service
and genracer got a great review from me for all their help and support and excellent quality product
