Staggered wheels, does it really make a difference on the car, is it really a must do.

ATK_Designs 01-27-2010 09:06 AM

hm...I really wonder how aggressive can you get with these cars.

Anyone fit an 11" wide with low offsets on the rears yet?

1st 01-27-2010 09:21 AM

if by low offset you mean +15 +20 ish
nothing negative yet as far as i am aware.
I dont think anyone is will to run the camber or do the fender modifications to fit "Man" wheels on this car.
Id love to see someone run an 11 or 12 inch wheel with 0 or Less offset in the rear.

I may try to meet up with local GC folks and see if we can test fit my 20x11 on their cars and see how much we can push it. I'm more than willing to pull fenders and run mild negative camber. it's all about the deep dishes :p

CoupeDeVille 01-27-2010 10:52 AM

I thought the GC fenders were already pulled?

Yes.

fitment will be way too n00b. get some lower offset on that ish man. and put wider wheels in the back than in the front.

if i were you i would look at 8.5 front, and 9.5 rear, mid 20s offset all around (+22 is particularly nice from what I've seen). thats a good middle of the road fitment that will look reeaaalll nice. :D no rubz for sure. up to you if you want to go 18 or 19in rims.

Slider 01-28-2010 08:11 AM

They look awesome in low offsets.

19x8.5 (+23) and 19x9.5 (+24) would they work and how would they look? I want aggressive!!!!!!!!!!!

Zoile 01-29-2010 10:12 AM

18X8 all 4 wheels +20

I can get a good deal for those wheels if it will look ok.

satheian 01-29-2010 03:16 PM

Should look.. Okayish. Not terrible, but not all that impressive either.
It will fit better than stock though..

purebullet417 01-29-2010 06:09 PM

just in case you guys are wondering the gen coupe runs the same bolt pattern and VERY similar offsets to g35 coupes so if you find agressive g35 wheels most likely they will fit your genesis. now someone go find a g35 with agressive (low teens) in 9 and 10.5 (most common g35 sizes) and see how they look

sLydFX 01-29-2010 06:21 PM

^ look at my avatar

purebullet417 01-29-2010 06:42 PM

looks great anyone run 20s on the gc as that seems to be the most popular size for the g35cs. may look a little to big on the gen coupe though. btw love your ride height its perfect

purebullet417 01-29-2010 07:01 PM

wonder how a setup like this would look? 20x9.5 +10 20x10.5+0

im fairly knowledgeable when it comes to what modifications are needed on the g35 to fit what offsets and what not but i am still learning about the gen coupe. from what iv read the stock fenders come rolled? do you rub on anything with your current offsets? are you fenders pulled at all?

sLydFX 01-29-2010 07:07 PM

^ no rubbing with non modded fenders.

purebullet417 01-29-2010 07:15 PM

so it seems like i could be possible to fit these with some more camber. cant wait till i get my coupe to try it out lol
