Default 19' OEM Chrome Rims (70790 & 70791).

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum but was wondering if anyone knows where I can get original 19" OEM rims in Chrome. I've got OEM 18's that I want to use to put snow tires on and then buy a new set of 19" rims and tires.

Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated. I am located just outside of Toronto (Guelph ON Canada). With the US$ so close to the CDN$ I was thinking it might be cheaper to buy in the states.

I think your best bet is to find a set of OEM 19 for sale and have them chromed. I am sure there is a shop in the GTA that would chrome them for you.

There was a guy on Ebay that was offering chromed factory wheels. It was 800 plus shipping both ways or 1700 for new chromed rims plus shipping.

It's probably cheaper to find new aftermarket wheels...

**I have a set of OEM 19 with tires/TPS from my 2012 GC... Pratically brand new, 500 kms on them for sale.. PM me if you're interested.

Is there a better alternative to Chrome? I've heard polished is nice. Basically I am looking to put nice 19" rims on. The 19" OEM rims look OK, was just investigating alternatives to spruce them up a bit and a dealership guy suggested chrome.

An advantage of chrome is that it does not require the constant attention that polished aluminum does. Look around and you'll see 20 year old cars with never washed chrome bumpers in decent shape.

I wouldnt do chrome 19' OEM's on this car..However, I would do something like grey chrome, black chrome, or gunmetal color..Just depends on your taste..Regular chrome looks hitious on 19' OEM's. There are some wheels out there that look really nice on the coupe that are chrome, but not many.

Do not waste your money on chromed out OEM 19's. What you will be spending between rims, getting them chromed, and tires you could have bought some really nice aftermarket properly fitted wheels.

I have seen the OEM 19s chromed on a GC in my town and I have to say that it looked horrible. If I see it again I will post a picture. But if you insist on it, chrome pros plating in TX did my wheels for a bike and the results were top notch.

The Tire Rack website has a program that allows you to view their wheels on "your" car. You should be able to find something close to OEM to check.

I checked Tire Rack and they only had one style of chrome 19s for the GC. The link below should get you there:
