steelies wheels and snow tires

Guys, I did a search and didn't net much. I am looking to see what would be an inexpensive way to get my 2015 spec outfitted with winter shoes. I would really like a smaller steelies wheel maybe a 15 or 16 inch with a taller snow tire, like what we used to run in the old days. Has anyone done this, if so, where and what combo should I look for. Specifically keeping in mind center bore (67.1) and a bolt pattern of (5x 114.3) and a thread of (M12 x 1.5) and available wheel gap.

Anybody?

Hopefully the last winter tire thread

has some good info. Not sure, but 16's might not fit. Most seem to stick with 17's

I don't think you can fit much smaller than an 17" wheel due to the Brembo brakes. You MAY be able to fit a 16 but I honestly have zero clue if anyone has done it.

Get your self used 17" rims from mustang. 16 will have way too much sidewall.

So do they have the same bolt pattern and center bore?

16's will not fit.
I had 16's with Xi3's from my old ms3, bolt pattern is the same 5x114.3 but it does not even get close to clearing the Brembo break callipers.
Even 17's might be tight depending on the shape of the steelies so make sure you are positive they will fit before buying them.
I'm having to put my Rays 18s for winter. I had just restored them for the ms3 but have no choice as the car came with 19s. People will look at me like im an idiot for having Rays on for winter.

Same bolt pattern but the mustang wheels have a larger center bore so you'll want hubcentric rings if you go that route.

I have Evo 9 17" Enkeis and they clear with 20/25mm spacers. Its a VERY VERY tight fit on the ball joint in the front but they have room as long as you watch your wheel weight placement.

By happenstance I stumbled on to these. I am setup! I got a solid deal as well. The guy traded his Gen Coupe for a Camaro and had these left after the deal.
