Question Goodbye Winter Rims, Hello 'Your Help'?

Alrighy then,

The weather here in Windsor has warmed up, and won't be getting anymore snow so it's time to preserve the LM-60's for future winters.

My parents, aka controllers of my bank account (and no, I'm not 12 hahaha), would like me to put the stock summer rubber back on the 19" stock rims, but that's lamesauce, and I would much rather grab a set of rims for the summer.

I don't want anything to flashy, just something that looks nice, and will fit well. That's where I need your GenCoupe'rs help. I've found a couple options, but just want some input.

Also good to know, I have a GT with the Brembo Brakes and I want to use the 225/40/19 and 245/40/19 rubber that came on the stock rims. And I'd like to keep the budget within reason, less than or around $1000 is great, but I do have a few grand to play with this summer if needed (but what I save on rims, gets to go towards other things)...

So here's the options thus far hahaha

________________________________________________

Option #1

I like the look of this one most and the price is great!
19" XXR 522 (gold or flat black)
Front: 19x8.5 +15 offset
Rear: 19x10 +20 offset

WILL THE 245'S FIT OVER THE 10'S WITHOUT HUGE STRETCHING???

Option #2

19" VARRSTOEN ES 2.2.2
(VOLK RACING REPLICA FACE I & FACE II)
Front: 19x8.5 +0 offset
Rear: 19x9.5 +0 offset

Option #3

Not a fan of spacers, but can deny how cheap they are...
19" XXR 962 (gold)
Front: 19x8.5 +35 offset
Rear: 19x9.5 +35 offset

What measure spacers would I run? 20mm???

Option #4
TSW Zolder - Gloss Gold Wheels
Front: 19x8 +20 offset
Rear: 19x9.5 +20 offset

Option #5
TSW Donington - Matte Black Wheels
Front: 19x8 +20 offset
Rear: 19x9.5 +20 offset

Option #6
Tenzo R Cuzco - Black/Red Wheels
Front: 19x8.5 +20
Rear: 19x9.5 +20

Suggestions on other rims are welcome too!

I'd go with #1, but the rear tires will be stretched on that setup. I also like #2, but those offsets would have to change. You'd have to use the offsets from #1, and the rear tries would fit a bit better.

I'm more than ok with some stretch, I just don't want it to look ridiculous - ie. tire pulling off in a hard turn (though the car will never see track time)

I'm ok with this stretch, which is apparently a 225 on a 10, so 245 should look even less...

Out of what you have there, I like number one. I'd say look into Rotas and Linea Corse too.

#2 or #5

I like those TSW's but i fear they will be noticeably heavier than stock (TSW arent known to be light weight)

I cant stand multi drilled wheels, so that canceled out a few for me.

I'm a big fan of those 16-spoke TSW's. Anyone have pics of those on a GC?

I've looked at both Rotas and Linea Corse. I was actually looking at the Lemans in gold, but they're running @ about $1299 PLUS S&H (unless anyone can get a man a deal...) And of the Rotas, there aren't any 19"s that I like... Shame

I like #2 but thats some hefty offset hahaha, and the TSWs are pretty friggin heavy - I think the Doningtons are heavier than stock. The 16 Spoke ones are just wicked looking...

What colour should I go with for #1? Black or gold?
Remembering that I have a BathyBlack GC, with charcoal tinted headlights and tails (yellow tint on fogs)

I just think the 552's in matte black with the red Brembos peaking through will look killer - Throw on some matte black Genesis wing emblems, and away to the races...

#2 has Genesis specific(less aggressive) offsets available, check out their site...they even mention X number of sets sent to Korean market.

19x8.5
19x9.5

Not as aggressive as 350Z fitment but they clear the brembos

I e-mailed the guys at that company already. They don't have any 8.5's available in our bolt pattern right now. I think he said only 5-120 is available right now. You'd have to go 9.5(f) and 10.5(r), but that's .5 more stretching than I want right now... If I was buying new tires, I'd be on the like white on rice...

I've yet to find a Canadian company which blows

I have however gotten a quote from a distributor on Zilvia for US$690 shipped, and also worked out on DiscountTires to be about CAD$695 (it says that includes FedEx, Duties, and Tax) plus they have a $25 rebate if you purchase 4 XXR rims.

I'm seeing if the guy from Zilvia will meet/beat the DiscountTires price... If not, $695 is a great price and will swing that way. I'll let you know what the Zilvia guy says... Give him some more business and give you better prices hahaha

i like option 4, but i would choose a brushed aluminum or flat silver color. black car and black rims dont look too great imo, and i really dont like gold.
