Exclamation Need help after getting tuned!

Ok, so I got the PRW stage 2 full bolt on tune(93 octane, 2010 6speed), with the EvoX injectors(used) and truboxs high performance boost controller(brand new). Now the problems I'm having are the following:

1. My car is having problems starting while its still hot. In the morning its not a probelm, just after driving and not letting it sit for at least 2 hours.

2. My BOV from turboxs, isnt working 100% correctly now. Sounds like a loud whistle(leaking?), yet it's still releasing the pressure and sometimes it will do it early on its own.

3. The boost controller is working very odd as well. It jumps from 5-7psi and holds till about 4krpm and then goes to about 15psi. I'm still working this out as well, but wanted to know if the boost just does that. I had it first set and it was only hitting 10psi. So I used the alan wrench and turned the course part all the way out, then it went to 6-7pis. I twisted it about 7-8 times and now I'm 14-15psi. Just trying to get it working right to about 17psi.

Please help and thank you!

-- What stage were you running before?
-- on my forge, I adjust the BOV tension with springs and shims...
-- If you are running higher PSI it may need to be adjusted (not sure of how the TXS BOV works...)

-- Is the stock solenoid still "in-between" the turboXS boost controller and the turbo?
-- I think I remember reading a thread on taking the stock solenoid out of the picture if you have a MBC?
-- read up on that as I am only working from memory here...

Good luck! Looking to do the same in the future. Hope is all works out...

Nothing really big on this one yet, but that is why I asked what stage you were on. If you were stock, then you may not have seen this before. If you were, then is it the same? That is; had you not seen quick boost changes on your stage-1?

Most of us notice PSI jumps after being tuned, regardless of boost controller. From what I've read it's a side effect of pushing our small turbos...

Guess I could have put this all in one post, sorry, at work and popping in and out...

There are lots of threads on this one, not much more to add, except to say that you are not alone, and it appears to be mostly injector manufacturer independent. Additionally, it appears not to be isolated to any single tuner...

Go find that thread and try the trick that has been found on how to start it when that happens; something like:
-- when it happens
-- turn key off for 10 seconds
-- turn key to just "on" position
-- wait for 10 seconds
-- then try to crank again

Forget the exact sequence, but its close to that. Some have reported success with it...

How do you have the TXS bov hooked up?

Take pictures of your MBC setup.

I had the same problem you did a few months ago.

Great thanks man! I'll try starting it up like that. I wasnt tuned till now. I have the boos controller running on its own and not connected to the solenoid at all. I just ran a hose to cap it off. I just wanted to be sure that everything thats happening to me is normal and not something that will cause the motor to go out on me. I just need to get some liquid gaset around the block off plate now, as I'm hearing more flutter.

Well what I did was reroute the BOV line to the IM and its working great now. As for the hot start, I found out a way to fix it, might be to install the IM spacer from grimmspeed. I'm going to try that and see what happens.

Let us know how that goes. I've had hot start issues with PRW and BR tunes using both EVO X and DW injectors.
