Too bad it's shipped by UPS to Canada, with the customs fee it makes it sooooo expensive...they are the worst...

Very nice parts and congrats on the good work...

Does the carbon shield really make that much of a difference?

Yes I would say it does.

When you install the intake you can leave the factory snorkel in the front of the car and the neck goes down right under the filter. The shield will block heat plus it will also "catch" the fresher air that is coming in from the snorkel.

Pics of wrinkle black pipping?

I'm suprised you guys released an intake since there has been no evidence of performance gains.

oh snap! looks likes its about to go down!

Turbo cars are like hot women. A little edgy, every guy wants one, some guys can't handle them, and if you throw a little alcohol in them they'll rock your world!

A very good engine builder once told me, "If you break her in soft, she'll only like it soft; if you break her in hard, she'll scream every time you go for a ride." So that's how I see it.

Jarrod, will the IC kit's be available with a flange for an aftermarket BOV (such as a TiAL)? Just asking since some people (like me) would upgrade the IC with plans to upgrade turbos later, and don't want to have to re-buy parts.

You're still going to need supporting mods for the turbo upgrade. The turbo will not be a bolt on and go type deal. You're going to need to be able to do something with the air its bringing in.

I have a set being coated now that I should have back shortly. I will gladly post a pic when they come in.

The car is eventually going to need an intake. I would put money on seeing a difference when a tuning program is released for the car compared to just running the factory air box.

Besides... if you want to run a upgrade FMIC w/ larger piping you're going to HAVE to ditch the factory intake. Planning ahead is better than waiting for an issue to arise.

Im sure that wouldnt be an issue sir.

I wouldnt write off the factory turbo yet until we see what the upgraded stocker combinations are going to do. You may be surprised. Jumping to a larger laggier turbo isnt always the solution and it can take the fun out of driving the car.

the race FMIC has to had bumper cut out.
the standard which is rated at 675hp needs only to be trimmed slightly! Plus who needs more then 675hp? LOL Come on now Miss K!

The car is going to need to breathe so an intake & exhaust will be needed. You will also need the BOV upgrade to hold the higher boost levels and the stock FMIC starts to get heat soaked with the stock turbo at stock boost levels so upgrading the FMIC and going with the larger piping is a great idea as well.

The front bumper is NOT cut out.

The crash beam is removed (unbolted and taken out. no cutting.) for the FMIC to fit. You must also remove the front piece of the factory undertray as well. The Race FMIC is a tight fit.

soon_2b_evil: I need over 675.

Any logs of the intake temps with and without the shield?

The Tial BOV kit is also noticeably absent. Still in R&D?
