Turbo upgrade bk2 2.0 auto

Hello all, I'm not super familiar with fixing or modding cars, only enough for basics. I have a 2014 auto, is a turbo upgrade something this cars internals can handle being an automatic? I expect I'll have to upgrade a couple of things but aside from the turbo it's self, how much in parts am I looking at investing. I'm aiming for close to 350whp. I don't need to worry about labor to put parts in, as I have friends with a shop. But also, is there a direction you guys can point me into to get started? I plan on doing lots of research but from what I can tell there's not much out there for autos. Thanks in advance

There are a couple of cars running BTR stage 3 on stock internals. You are going to be spending around 5K+ in parts to reach the goal you want.

As Valenz said, if you want a proven straightforward way to reach your goal just look into the BTR Stage 3 kit.

It has a GT3071 and everything you need to install it. If you buy it from them it will run you around $4500, plus other supporting mods (exhaust, intake, BOV, WBO2, Boost gauge). For $5k-$5.5k you could probably be at your goal. This is probably the simplest way since you say you arent super familiar with modding.

You might be able to buy used parts to make your own "BTR stage 3" kit by looking at what they include and shopping around and it may save you some money. If you decide to design your own kit, you will need to find someone to tune it. Without Haltech you are looking at BTR or SFR for tunes.

The internals are plenty strong on the engine, I'm right around 400whp and there are some 2.0Ts much higher than me.

Okay, I have a turbo back exhaust with hi flow cat, intake, and stage 1.5 sfr tune. But last I checked they didn't have a stage 3 kit for the auto? Am I just missing it?

I don't know much about SFR's offerings personally, I've done everything through BTR just because of their proximity to where I live.

If you are asking about the BTR kit, go to their site, under the 2013-2014 stage 3 kit change the transmission to Automatic.

There are other ways to reach your goal, but if you are looking for a straightforward approach I guess this would be my answer. Its up to you to make sure its what you want.

So what's the difference between the kit you pointed out and the Evo 8/9 turbo upgrade kit?

The Evo 8/9 turbo is different, the upgrade kit is basically just a manifold, O2 housing, and some oil hoses. It doesn't include a turbo, wastegate, tune, silicone couplers, or anything else you're going to need so you'll have to buy that separately.

After you do the turbo upgrade (either option) and you get a tune, are there any issues on getting an inspection? My county still does emissions and I would need to pass in order to make a turbo upgrade a viable option.
