New here and almost at my whitts end, 2010 3.8 MT GT w/ 110k. Stock except for catback. Got the car end of last summer drove for about a month then winter storage (Quebec) took it out then got bloody limp mode - 2.5k rpm limit etc... ran the codes got p2106 p2127 p0651. Searched them up plus read almost every post about this limp mode issue. I’ve changed the throttle body, gas pedal, cleaned every connector, reset the Ecu , keydanced u name it. The car might work for a day or 5 minutes. No pattern to why or how this happens. Can anyone help me out ? Honestly desperate here and trying to avoid the stealership route.
It may seem over simplistic but make certain your battery and its connections (ground) are good. It makes me suspicious as you said the car didn't have the problem before going into storage for a extended period of time.
I've only ever experienced limp mode with traction control on, peeling out on wet ground (e.g in the rain) at high rpms. Once nearly caused someone to collide into me when crossing oncoming lanes, making a left. I therefore always disable traction control when the ground is wet. This is on a stock bk1 3.8 AT.
