I think many people are getting confused here... ESC and TCS are two completely different things....

Well what does totally disabled mean? If I forget to turn it off at the track usually the first turn reminds me. I turn it off and it doesn't do anything after that?

ABS is different.

Disable means that when you turn off your TSC/ESC it is completely off no partial interruption.....

^^Same for me, and I never had the chance to experience ABS kicking in @ the track. Ever.

I did, at the same track you run probably because I have less sticky tires and was late braking. It was a pretty iffy situation and good thing no one was coming out of the pit at that time. Remember that you are running wider tires and R-Spec bolts.

ABS kicking in basically= no brake for 1-2 seconds...

Yeah but I also ran the car bone stock with a tune and OEM everything in the braking department, with the OEM Wheels and tires, on the OEM alignment.

The OEM Brembo pads don't have enough bite to have the ABS engage on dry pavement, even if I was standing on the brake pedal.

The hawk pads have way more bite, but again I ran the car with only upgraded pads and SS lines/fluid, and never engaged the ABS.

And now with the wider tires and front camber, no chance I'll lose braking traction in front....Like you said.

I would like to try out a base brake equipped GC to see the actual difference.

I got the ABS to kick in once at VIR but I was absolutely pushing the pedal through the floor. This was with some Dunlops and EBC Yellostuffs. Could not get that to happen with the OEM track tires.

Yes the brakes are only as good as the tires. And the OEM all seasons are some crappy tires.

how else would it do it? by applying the BRAKES to individual wheels.
Second thing it does, is lower throttle.

Now ask yourself, does the car lower throttle and/or apply brakes at any point, when ESC is off?
Yes it does apply brakes, supprisingy when i try to get back off at low speed. I hate it.

Hey this is a pretty old post but i had the same problem when my GC. but I had to ask a random guy who drove the same car I met at the hyundai lot who has the same car as me (2015 hyundai genesis coupe r-spec). And he told me to press the the traction control button then press and hold it again until it beeps and should notify you that is tranction and stability control is off. I did it and it worked but havnt gone to an open area or track to try to do any burn outs. Hope this helps
