Hello there.

My name is Mike Litsch. I work for DiabloSport Inc., a world wide leader in mostly domestic gas and diesel handheld tuning solutions.

We have been watching this market for a while now, and we are strongly considering the idea of bringing a handheld tuner/remote custom tuning solution to the Genesis world.

Some of you may be familiar with some of our past and current offerings. We've been offering full custom tuning for the entire Mustang lineup since the late 90s, we were the first to ever offer any tuning for the 05+ Corvette applications, we offer the only true custom tuning solution for all 05-current HEMI vehicles, and we even have a very strong presence in the SRT4 Neon market....yeah, we like tuning boosted vehicles too

I'm here to gauge interest, and do a little homework, thus I have a few questions for the community....

So far with the limited info I have gathered, it looks like the 09-12 2.0T models are pretty similar, and use the same PCM. The 13 got an electronic WG and some other changes, but is it the same PCM?
Whats up with the 3.8 V6...seems to be the most untapped market. How many V6 guys are out there ready to shell out some cash for a handheld device that ships with preloaded tunes for premium fuel, allows end user adjustments to specific parameters, and can accept custom tunes from our CMR software through tuning dealers (via email or on the dyno), and allows datalogging, code reading/clearing, etc...?

Can anyone provide part numbers for the various PCMs? That gets the ball rolling...
Anyone have a spare PCM they would like to get rid of?

I've heard some rumors of an open source project....anyone working on that who may prefer to get paid, well, hit me up

We're open to talk with any of the companies currently offering tuning solutions, as we can offer a huge worldwide distribution network, and these types of collaborations can be good for everyone in the long run.

I promise I'm not here to sell anything, and I hope there are no vendor rules being broken here. I promise we'll sign up to support the forum the day we have something to sell you guys, just like we do on countless other forums currently

Anyone that has info to share, we're all ears.
Any questions you have, fire away, I'll do my best to answer them.

Hopefully the demand for the tuning solutions we offer is as prevalent as I think it is, and we'll see this market grow like so many others we have jumped into.

Thanks!!

IM TOTALLY INTERESTED IN THIS! Because as of now(and I'm sure I'm speaking for a large amount of people) I'm to far out of range of anyone who actually can do a custom tune for my 2.0t genesis and not many companies offer a solution for te automatic transmission, just manual so a handheld unit that would allow me to tune my own car(of course with help from experiences people) but I know what kid of reputation diablo has and would love to have a diablo handheld unit in my car.

So...

I had an incredibly interesting discussion today with another of our off site engineer guys. He's not an employee, but he does some contract work for us.
Without getting into too much detail, he kinda maybe mentioned that he has been working on Genesis for some time now. Hello left hand, meet the right hand.
He's heading in a slightly different direction than we are, but he has some much needed data that we could use :)
He also said something about some auto trans strategy....yep, TCM ;)

Please don't beat me up for much more detail, because truly, I don't have it at the moment, and this is a legitimate tease, but I thought it was worth sharing.

Have a fun weekend!!

I've already pulled my CMD and I've got the PowerX2 ready to sell. Get TCM support and it's on like bing bong!

I've been waiting for this news since the thread started.

I'm thinking he's talking about the TCM for the A5SR1 (based off the Nissan RE5R05A)since that should be very similar to the one that the 350Z's were running and they had some company named Uprev working with that a number of years ago.
Guys, check your Osiris Tuner! We have Torque Management now! - MY350Z.COM Forums
The TCU for the ZF 6AT is integral to the trans and much more complicated in it's programming I believe

yes but thats old and tired and immature because it has nothing to do with the thread or has any relevance at all. Save it for the 100 page threads that people waste their time arguing on and just worry about your transmission and not what others choose to invest their money in. :door:

Ya, all those stupid people who bought a GTR with their automatic transmissions... I'm so sad I missed out on swapping my manual tranny 3 or 4 times.

Doesn't really count if you don't have the option senior slushbawx.

And 148,000km as of this morn, making that 113,000km of problem free driving on my second transmission.

At the end of the day I go manual because I'm a control freak. I don't need to massage a tcm to do my bidding. Note would I want to.

Very simple bro. If a car is built to go around a track and does it fast it's a sports car. A car that is meant to look fast and look pretty isn't a sports car. Lol go try and take your coupe around a track and see how it gets walked by other cars like Z's and miatas. Lol not saying that miatas are true sports cars either but a lot better than coupes. The GC is not designed to be raced on a track. It is designed and based to drive on a road.
