Mods approve for sale threads : /

seems like 2 of every 4 for sale threads I submit never shows up…. and yes they had all requirements.

*Edit - Didn't know mods weren't paid, sry

Kolk1 03-11-2014 09:53 PM

Do they send a notice if it wasnt approved? Just wondering because I just spent about 1/2 hour posting a thread, and it would suck if its not approved.

Hey private classifieds moderators, how many times do I have to post the same firkin thread  lets go already :squint:

Is the PM function also not working for you?

WhoaBlackGenny 03-12-2014 08:27 AM

Crying doesn't get you anything but a wetter face bud. When you go directly to the source (PMing a mod) you can usually resolve your issue.

Im about to part out the whole car and sell it as stock. Haltech, 19t, intercooler, injectors, everything needs sold. lol

I was up to almost 400lbs, been losing weight and trying to care of my life. Down to about 310lbs last time I checked.

Bikes done, it did 300whp/150wtq. I have one video, it was only 38* outside, so traction was an issue, so I wait until 60mph to hammer it. Normally I can almost do WOT in first without spinning. Im about 340lbs in this video, and on stock gearing still. I also bought a 2013 ZX-14R, been modding that and setting it up for touring and backroading.

The white one now has a full titanium Hindle exhaust, Puig DB, drop pegs, bar risers, HIDs, and so on.

Old WOT video on stock gearing when I was 340lbs.

God damn dude!! What is this in my pants???? lol.

Kolk1 03-12-2014 01:35 PM

It's fun to say the least.

bren5279 03-12-2014 07:14 PM

Nope no notification that it wasn't approved. And this happens with about half the fs posts Ive made (and made sure all parts were included). Getting sick of wasting my time making posts that never make it. Worse track record than the post office. I mean yeah I could pm a mod every firkin time I list a post but thats really annoying!! This is the only forum Ive ever been on that requires mods to approve a thread before it shows up, which is fine… if the mod actually approved them within a day r two instead of just ignoring them then us having to post it then pm them letting them know its posted >: /
Guess I just have to relist each post 3 or 4 times to make sure its not skipped over -.-

More annoying than this thread? I'm gonna say...no. :icon_rolleyes:

Mooseman 03-13-2014 05:19 AM

Heres an interesting concept I heard once:

Mods have real lives too..... (dramatic pause)
Like us they occasionally wake up late for work and have to rush to work without breakfast.
Or come home from a long tiring day just in time to catch the last couple innings of their kids baseball game.

Hell, snoopy just welcomed another young'n into the world yesterday.

So instead of starting a thread (which has 0 chance of getting your thread aproved) you just send em a PM. (This has much higher chances of getting your thread aproved)

This gimme gimme I want it now attitude is getting old.

SteveJohns29 03-13-2014 06:28 AM

I agree with Mooseman. We volunteer our time to this site. If your thread wasn't approved, PM one of us and we'll take care of it.

SteveJohns29 03-13-2014 06:36 AM

PS. You have no pending for sale threads.. Everything for you has already been approved or deleted as a duplicate.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Kolk1 03-13-2014 02:30 PM

As far as my thread is concerned, I recieved a PM yesterday just saying I needed to split it into 2 threads, one for parts, one for the car, and then it was approved. Im not going to put the car actually up for sale until Im done returning it to stock.

bren5279 03-13-2014 05:46 PM

Yeah I listed it twice and neither one showed up.

…. wait what???!!!?!? mods aren't paid??? don't all the random fees like the distributor posting fees and everything else go to pay the mods?:squint: if not then where does all of that money go to?????

This whole time I thought mods were paid to moderate and do stuff like approve the listings :dunno:
if that is the case then I apologize. I thought people were being paid to do it but instead just slacking off.

Chuckie 03-13-2014 06:28 PM

Ag is the only entity paid. Mods do it for the good of the enthusiast community. It's like ushering at church.

bren5279 03-13-2014 07:56 PM

Oh Sh*t my bad I heard all user fees and dealer fees went to pay mods.

my apologize then

LandoAWD 03-14-2014 05:15 AM

I hope you aren't serious. LOL

Welcome to the Internet.

whatever210 03-17-2014 06:38 AM

I agree. as a mod on 2 other forums. its would be a courtesy to pm the OP so they know why their thread wasn't approved. I know they saw my FS thread because they deleted the original once I asked them too. it was on the same day. so why couldn't the mod take 30 seconds and pm and give me a quick reason it needs to be approved instead of pming a mod and always bugging snoopy everytime. yes you volunteer your time but if your complaining about how much ppl complain then your in the wrong department. that's your job. that would be like me owning a gas station and complaining when people show up to get gas. if you hate it that much maybe you should resign.

and no mods aren't paid. its the owner of the website that sees all the money. hes the one getting paid and it still took him 6 months to -1 years to put a build thread section in.
