Sorry when I deleted my time slips that I wrote by hand and replaced them with the pictures, I erased my model and mods .

Yes its a 3.8 gt auto. The only mod I have is the CAI and front grill. I don`t think the grill did any help The car was on the 19 inch original wheels.

I just left the shifter in D and took off.

This is what I don't understand about the 2.0T's...How is it that, with Intake and a Tune, guys are still running stock times/trap speeds??

No offence to Ronin, especially because a 2.1 60ft is pretty damn good, so no driver mod needed, but the trap speed tells all. 93mph trap is indicating stock power levels, my guess is it should be right around 96-97mph with those mods. You could be the worst driver around, but if your car is making a lot of power, it's going to show in your trap speed.

Yeah, that seems pretty slow. I would expect very high 90's for trap... Some of the more heavily modified stock turbo 2.0s are 13.9-low 14s. It doesn't make sense.

I see that was your first run. Maybe try it a couple more times? I would like to think the flash and intake would help out more. My turbo does seem to be temperamental at times as sometimes it has hesitation and power feels down and other times it is smooth and feels strong. I figured it was either I need an intake, I'm not revving high enough before stomping on it or maybe because I sometimes put mid-grade in it.

I had the same problem though, it was my first time at the track too.

Squealing tires into third doesn't help. Like noticeable in that my friends gf was sitting in the stands and said I should really stop chirping going into third and I would likely be quicker, so three gears worth of tire spin.

The biggest thing is the burn out box IMO. I went in cold all the time.

Off to the drag strip tonight to see how much the CP-E FMIC and air intake will drop the ET. I'll post time slips tomorrow.

There is abosultly NOTHING wrong with chirping going into third, it is a sign of good power and a good clutch. Spinning the tires past the initial launch is bad, but chirping going into 2nd, 3rd is not bad at all but rather a good sign the car is making power and the clutch is grabbing. She is completly wrong and should stay in the stands.

The drag strip I went to had no prep all night. This resulted in a .3-.4 loss in 60ft times . The car ran 14.6 (one tenth slower than before the mods) but gained almost 4 MPH. With the gain in MPH and getting the 60ft times back down should drop the ET down to the low 14's.

is the FMIC alot bigger than the stock IC? Could that extra 0.1 sec be from the volume of the FMIC needing to be filled? I know that most guys that throw larger intercoolers on there stock turbo cars aren't really getting that big of a benefit.

nm, you got a higher trap speed but slower 60ft. you were spinning your tires im guessing due to bad track prep..

Mine if feed 94 octane all the time.

I don't shift very fast and it was pretty hot (81F) and humid... those are the only explanation I can give you. I was gonna do a couple unflashed run for **** and giggles but forgot... to bad.

First day drag racing... me and Tony (TVONE2) went down to Island Dragway in NJ. It was a Beyondredline/PA vs. CP-E/CMD run! Both of us have black R-spec with pretty similar mods from different companies. I have Beyond Redlines stage 2, but catless tuned with Power Axel. Tony has CPE FMIC, I beleive a highflow primary cat, with cp-e downpipe and hks axel back, tuned with CMD, he is only running the stock injectors though, which is why I was able to get a slightly quicker time. Both of us on stock tires with normal pressure. I probably have a good 50+ lbs on Tony though =)

I'm car 0020, Tony is 6567. I'm the circled one in each. We had some bad 60 ft times, in the low to mid 2s most of the time. My best run I managed to just break below 2s. Pics are kind big =\

My best was 1.986 60', 9.096 1/8 @ 77.33mph, 14.114 1/4 @ 98.66mph.

Tony's best run was 2.196 60'm 9.500 1/8 @ 76.12mph, 14.552 @ 98.28mph

^^Good runs for both of you guys! Nice to see more 2.0T's in the low 14's. What's interesting is both of your cars are trapping at nearly identical speeds, indicating both cars are putting down close to the same amount of power. I figured the PA tune would put up better numbers than the CMD, but obviously that's not the case. Second time slip run was dead even between you guys, would have been fun to watch.

I think he may have an intake now, I don't remember. His stock injectors are whats holding him back on the top end. I think there's a little more in my car, but my driving skill is whats keeping me from breaking into the 13s. I was pretty disoriented with the helmet on, felt like I couldn't hear anything and it was a little tough for me to gauge my launches. My best one was a launch around 2500+ with out much slipping in the clutch, I know it revved up to about 3 k with some brief tire spin and then it was all good. I do want to try shifting a bit earlier, I was shifting at 7-7100rpm which was leaving me in the 5k range when I was in the next gear, which I think might be where my peak hp starts to drop (my dyno sheet still wasn't mailed to me). Maybe shifting in the 6k range would be better.

I got a video ill put up tomorrow that my girlfriend took, we sound pretty awesome running down the track together. The only think I could hear was his damn HKS BOV going off the whole time lol... I thought something was wrong with my car the first run.

Pretty sure the only stock turbo 2.0T in the 13's was a CMD tune....

Please explain what you mean by stock, CMD tuned would mean not stock to me? Thanks, just looking for clarification.

CrookedH is talking about Jared's genesis I think, as his was the only STOCK TURBO 2.0T that ran an E/T below 14 seconds using a CMD tune.

Yea I'm not sure of any PA stock turbo that made it into 13s. Jared and I had Pretty much the same 60' and my ET was only .2mph faster. Not sure if that's driver skill or shift points or my fatass making the car slower, I'm about 220lbs. I bet if TVONE2 drove my car it may be able to break into that 13s mark. I tried to push it a little harder but ended up just missing shifts =(

Man cjd82187's car is putting down about 290hp at the crank and still not into the 13's. Still pretty impressive though. If you don't mind me asking, what gave you the most boost in hp besides the tune? I don't know if you installed everything at once or what, but I'm guessing the injectors or IC.
