steering wheel vibrating

Hello

i have a problem with my Genesis Coupe 2.0 Facelift with automatic transmission

The steering wheel is vibrating also at low speed.
It seems that the vibration is stronger when the car is still in cold state. and if am driving faster than its vibrating stronger.

i was 4 times at the dealership but they couldnt find anything.

also when i am parking and the steering wheel is turned in max. position left or right it is vibrating shortly and strong.

i have new tires and new rims, wheels was balanced two times.

there is a buzzing noise when iam accelerating.

does anyone have any idea whats the problem is?

sorry for my bad english

I will go out on a limb here, but maybe the power steering?

When you turn the wheel to the max you should feel strong resistance and even some noise from the power steering pump, but it should not oscillate or strongly vibrate. Mine does not. Vibrating when cool more than warm is also suggestive of the power steering circuit. First, I would check the power steering fluid level. That is simple. The noise while accelerating als suggests a pump or something on the engine.

Power steering would be my guess too, a friend of mine experienced vibrating and grinding noises when turning and his power steering fluid ended up being too low.

I too have vibrations as well. I have that grinding noise when turning the wheel all the way, but it is only distinct for a second or two then it fades away. The vibration occurs when I get up to highway speeds, 65-70 then fades away after a couple of minutes. Don't know if anybody has the same problem as I.

I also hear that off balanced rotors can cause the steering wheel shake as well.

I would definitely take it in to check the rotors and if they are balanced, if so my next step would be to make sure the tires are on and balanced properly. You said the power steering fluid is okay, so that would be my next step to get the pump checked out. I am in the same boat as you, just waiting to take mine in.

i dont think that the rotors are the reason for it as i said i had the same thing before the new rotors.
also the rims are balanced new after i bought them

the dealership couldnt find anything

the interesting thing is that is sometimes vibrating strong and sometimes just less.
for me it seems that the vibration is stronger if the car is in cold state

So the level is fine. Get a friend to turn the wheel back and forth and listen to it with the hood open. If you hear a noise a stethoscope might help isolate it. Have your friend rev the engine a bit.

The Genesis power steering uses a really good Pentosin fluid. Could the previous owner topped off with the wrong fluid? No idea, but for transmission and power steering I buy my fluid at the dealer to make sure it is right.

At this point you need to do some careful troubleshooting.

If you live in a really cold climate, your tires are sitting all night long and can develop temporary flat spots because of the weight on them in the cold. A vibration like that should work itself out after you have driven awhile. that forces the tires back into a "round" condition. It doesn't hurt anything, but certain tires do it more than others, depending on the rubber composition in the particular brand and size of the tires. In other words, not all tires do that, but some do.
