Wow...

I received my Tros PB about 2 months ago and it is a game changer. On HA its a different car. On FA setting, I have not run into many who could take me off the line.. I have the 8AT and it even shifts faster through the gears. I used to have a small hesitation. I have raced vastly more powerful cars and I consistently get the jump on them. Except the tuned TTRS I ran into... That thing is a super car killer.

Yeah, it gave a big acceleration difference, my Genny is just way more fun and very aggressive. And I always on FA9

This simple mod tell us that Hyundai really restricted the Genesis Coupe potentials, instead of out of the box track/race modes we need Tros Booster to fix their slow TB response (which is clearly made that way for MPG) their weird grille that is very restrictive and almost made the huge air intake useless and you need replace it with mesh and the back seat and super heavy doors and hood. Just curious, but what exactly are the differences between the TROS 9 drive 8 drive and 6 drive? And which one would you guys recommend I get? (2015 3.8 8AT)

I honestly really think the different between them is just the some options or naming for modes and the color of the controller itself, since they all has share the 9 levels adjustment(which is the important thing here)

From the info on Tros official site I really didn't see anything major between most of them

TP Series (9 Drives) give you new naming for modes F1, F2, F3 instead, and give you a light sensor for the LED so it dim it automatically

8 Drive (AK Series) has an Anti-theft mode, uses F1, F2 naming for modes. New color

7 Drive (GT series) uses P1, P2, P3 for modes. The cable can be disconnect from the controller unit side.

6 Drive (TS series) uses FH, FA, HH for modes.

The X series (newer one) is the only one with something really different since it has a tiny controller.

Give it a look

My advice, go with the cheaper one (6 Drive)

Mine is the 6 drive. It has the 4 performance modes, 2 for autos and 2 for manuals. They have 8 levels. And there is an eco level, that has 8 levels too. I tried the eco level once and it would be good if loaning the car out .

But more than likely you will end up sticking at one or two different positions all the time. I have to lower the setting a notch if it gets really cold (below 32F) HH 6. If it gets hotter (+90F) I can go up to the HH 8 level but usually I am at HH 7. There is another whole 8 step range above the level I am at.

I should add the 3.91 rear drive and the enlarged throttle body I have make it more sensitive, at least that's my theory.

How did you pay?

Mine took a couple of weeks to get here from China; maybe a bit less.

Read all the posts here, sounds very interesting.

I just got a 2015 Ultimate 3.8 and think this would be a nice addition. I like the idea of setting it and removing the controller (the 8-drive), but I guess the 6-drive is fine as I could tuck the controller away when not needed.

I don't expect to put it in race at all, but it would be nice to have a little faster response on the throttle, so something in the mid-range would be perfect. Only have about 600 miles on it since I got it.

Recommendations for the best based on my comments? There doesn't seem to be any advantage to the 8-drive other than what I was thinking (and anti-theft which I don't think I would use).

Oh, I guess the 8-drive doesn't have the detachable controller, that is the 9-drive.

But the 8-drive does auto-dim.

I raise mine up and down a notch as the outside temp changes, winter to summer. That's about it.

Tros 6 Drive is the cheaper one (if you get it from Ali Express its even cheaper) and has a detachable controller unit.

I didn't realize even on the 6-drive you could detach it. Thanks.
