Exhaust question

I'm about to buy an isis o2 housing, test pipe and downpipe. I'm wanting to use the oem axel back exhaust cuz I've been told that part of the exhaust is more than adequate. I don't want anything overly loud as well with is another reason I'm wanting to stick with the oem muffler and tips. What I'm wanting to know is if the downpipe will bolt right up to the muffler or if I will need to have something modified to make it all bolt up. If anybody knows please chime in and give me some input.

Using the setup you mentioned, it's actually going to connect to the midpipe section of the oem exhaust not the axle back part (if I'm not mistaken). But yes, as far as I know those are plug and play parts so it should be fine. Just be aware that the exhaust flow will be going from a 3inch diameter to a ~2.5inch diameter (even less at the crimped section of the midpipe). I don't really know much about exhaust flow theory but it's probably something worth noting.

So I guess I need the intermediate pipe then too? Just for clarification it goes.... Turbo>O2 housing>downpipe>test pipe>midpipe then muffler? Cuz I'm having no luck finding the mid pipe. Is that a part that I have to get custom made? Or is the mid pipe built on to the downpipe when I order it from from the vendor? I've been reading most the day about this and can't really pinpoint the answer.

So I went with the turboxs stealthback exhaust. It will be here sometime this coming week. My ecu is on its way to sfr for a retune to 91 octane and to have the secondary sensor turned off. Also having some other stuff fine tuned by Jay since it's a catless setup. My newest question is... How much of a pain in the ass are the 5 bolts on the main cat to get off? Any special tools needed. It looks like 3 of the 5 bolts are easy to get to but the other 2 look pretty well hidden. Will most basic tool sets do the job or do I need to run to the tool store for anything specific? Any advice is greatly appreciated before I dig into this next weekend.

I believe the nuts are 17mm. I took off the heat shield 3 days before I pulled the trigger and soaked each nut with sea foam deep creep. I would start it up and let it warm up. I did that for 3 days straight.
When it came time to loosen them up it was a piece of cake.
You will definitely need extensions because you will have to jack the car up and get underneath the car to get to the two bottom ones. Good luck.
