Just bought a 2013 Coupe. Really love the car. While trying pair my iPhone, within the paring screen, the add option is not available to select; it's greyed out. The phone is searching, but the car is not allowing.
The car is used and I deleted the previous pairs. Has anyone experienced this? I performed a search, but didn't see this circumstance on my cursory view.
Did you read the owners manual or the 10+ posts that the custom Google search finds on this site that indicates the emergency brake must be engaged and vehicle in park to pair a Bluetooth phone?

I appreciate the answer, but not the attitude. I predicated my post upon a "cursory" view of the many Bluetooth threads from my initial search. I came to a forum for help, not google.
Why get so bent as to link to google with "Was that so hard"? It amazes me how some can be so tough online, but face to face would have taken a completely different approach.
My fiancé, who I bought the car for, asked is this what we can expect from the forum? I assured her likely not. There are those like you among all forums.
Unclench sir, relax, and if you don't like someone's question, move onto the next post that you do. Flex your Internet muscles there. LOL
Is the car a manual trans? My auto I did not have to use the parking brake. Also I would try key on and not running. Lastly might be a software issue with the iphone. Report back to see if it paired with the parking brake on.
You can't pair a NEW connection if the car is not in park (auto), but it will still connect if you turn your bluetooth on and you're already moving. As for manual, I do not know.

Don't feel bad I sat in the car for like 30 min today trying to pair my phone (parking break NOT on). Its 3 a.m. and I almost wanna go down and pair my phone now
