I bought a set of winter tires for mine. I go everywhere as it is a daily driver and I take back roads. I had to back down a steep hill once this last winter and try again. Other than that I kept up with everybody. The car is really quite balanced and small steering corrections will keep it right on track. Turn off your ECS and go practice drifting! I would recommend you put on a staggered set of winters. I have a square set and it gives my ECS occasional fits.

Welcome! I live near the Allentown area also (Macungie to be exact) and as many people have mentioned you can get a set of winter wheels/tires and they'd work fine. Another alternative if you have some extra cash lying around and don't want to drive the gen in the winter is to buy a used car for the winter. I bought a used 2000 Subaru Legacy GT for under $3000 last year from Craigslist with just liability for insurance (paid $100 for the year) and it handled last year's crappy winter like a champ.

Thanks for the advice guys, I do have a 1995 suburban I take when things get ugly but I hate driving it. I bought a square set-up winter tires, hopefully the ECS doesn't get to upset.

On another topic, is there ever any Gen Coupe meets in the area?

Sure. I just got a mutation x shipped out that I'm pretty excited to build on and a plumeveil that fasttech has yet to ship out. If you haven't bought any of Mikey's eliquid that I recommended, it would be a good time to try some of his stuff at the meet

A meet at SFR in West Chester next month some time. We will meet in KoP for a drive down. I think last Spring there was between 50 and 75 cars.

A square setup will work fine, BUT under WOT your ECS will kick in and it will come in a bit early at times. Coming in a bit early is fine when it is slick. Otherwise turn off your ECS and enjoy the freedom. I routinely turn it off when I drive.

The meet sounds like a good time, I'll have to keep an eye out.

I do turn off the ECS regularly, its the only way to truly enjoy the car. I don't plan to go WOT on snows so I should be fine.

Hi Brandon. I see you are still hanging onto that drafty old Krout Kan of yours.

I don't think they started a Gencoupe thread for it.
